I married a man after 9 years. He was not high income and I was a divorced mother of 2. I didn't introduce my children till we had dated for 4 years and I had to finish nursing school. When we moved in together he became the stay at home parent figure cause I didn't want my children to be latch key kids. I made more money and I'm the one that came with 2 children in tow. After 23 years he has raised my children and when I became sick he went to work even though are income is a third of what it was. My children are grown and we are still happily married. Women know your worth but remember your baggage.

That advice about father/daughters is spot on. I dated a girl and we clicked until I saw how disrespectful she was to her father. I married a girl who had wonderfully long time married parents and she has been a great wife.

My mom and dad always taught me that if someone is kind enough to ask you out for a meal always make sure to order something that is equal to or under what the host or your date has chosen to eat and drink. If he orders a 15 dollar meal stay at that level or less do not order a 75 dollar meal. Pay attention to what they order. They taught me to be kind to the host/date. On first dates, if the gentleman is going to pay stay under what he orders, I am not there to try and get as much as I can out of the man, I am there to get to know him and find out if we might have a future. I actually prefer to have a picnic , or a coffee style first date. I also want to show the man I am a “prize” meaning I an an honest hardworking caring kind person that will not take advantage of a situation or use him for shallow reasons. We really need to teach our youth this while we can.

My dad had to kick a drowning person off him, as he was dragging my dad down with him. He'd swam out to ssve this guy and the guy was panicking badly. They both were heading for the bottom when my dad made the decision to kick him off. He never told anyone until a year before he died, he had ptsd from the incident and had never got over it, he felt like he'd killed him.

I had a date where she ordered all these expensive dishes, and I had cheaper ones. Before the end of the date, when she went to the bathroom, I went up to the waitress, told her I was paying my portion of the bill, and leave the rest on the table for my date to find when she got back. I walked to my car, receipt in hand before she left the bathroom. At home, I got an irate cal from HER BOYFRIEND, saying how dare I leave her at the restaurant with the bill. He had to drive to the restaurant, an hour away from his place, to pay for it and pick her up. I asked him what the problem was? Was it because his gf was cheating on him? Silence for a few seconds before I hung up.

I don't see why the girl that was trying to talk to that guy with a black hood was considered something negative. I thought she was humble and vulnerable. Isn't that what you guys want in a woman? She wasn't acting entitled or conceited even though she was attractive. Also, the guy who was saying a woman who didn't have a committed father can't have a relationship doesn't know what he's talking about. My father was a homeless alcoholic who abandoned us. Despite this, I've been a loyal and faithful wife to my husband for 25 years. He's the head of the household, and we have very traditional roles. I don't talk to other men for any reason unless it's the repair guy. I've kept myself in shape since I was 19, and I'm 49 now. My body looks just as good as it did 30 years ago. Just because a woman had a father that abandoned her doesn't mean she won't be a loyal and faithful wife.

13:56 that's good advice, except not all Dad's that are or were an alcoholics have this effect on their daughters. My Dad was an alcoholic, he drank pretty much my whole life. My parents got along great till he drank. I need to say I loved him with all of my heart and he loved me,he was kind, loving etc. Been married twice and I didn't treat them crappy. So were partially right l. You could also reverse this,how did your date treat his Mom?
