Have you looked into bonding a large number of Starlink terminals (say, 5-10) through one Peplink device, like the SDX-Pro? I'd love to see what that gives you in terms of having one big fat pipe in both directions!
So the funny thing is ipsec will not work over starlink however, if you bond it using speed fusion then you can run your ipsec if you need to inside the speed fusion tunnel. Peplink sd-wan supports starlink and works very well, especially if you enable FEC has a means of mitigating packet loss.
I know this is heavily late but at the wan is failing PING test then I would check to make sure The starlink is active and potentially the DNS servers are accessible. This is a pretty standard Health check mechanism which works really well for starlink
Just wondering how important setting the MTU to 1500 is ? We have several units on Auto but wondering if some background issues we see are because of this ?
At 15:03 what did you click to bring up Tunnel Options so you can create new tunnels? You lost me just there as there as the recording almost seemed to have a discontinuity. Thanks!
Got it from another video! For anyone else that may miss it, click the `?` on the SpeedFusion VPN Tunnel bar and there will be a click here option in there that will set this up.
If you click on the wan that you're using for the starlink then scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the health check settings Each wan can have its own individual health check options
