You are so strong for doing this. You are so inspiring and your story about what you went through, is exactly what I went through in school. I haven't been able to enjoy wearing shorts and be normal amongst other people becuase of my insecurity. You inspire me to go get a trimmer and just like you get rid of this insecurity once and for all.

Sorry to hear about your insecurity. I am VERY HAIRY and had hairier legs than you have now at the age of 12, and I was picked on as well. I had chest hair at 13, have neck hair that connects my beard to my head hair at the back between the ears and have back and shoulder hair all over. Not trying to downplay your insecurity and honestly hope you can accept yourself, I can definitely relate with your experience. I ended up shaving my legs to make myself feel normal. But then I got picked on for shaving my legs and then I thought "they're going to comment on me either way so why care about it?" So I stopped caring and just grew it out normally and stopped giving a fuck about what people said. If people wanted to pick on my leg hair or arm hair or chest hair I'd pick out one of their insecurities or take the piss out of one of their characteristics. You have a good figure bro but of course I know everyone has insecurities and it's hard to convince people that they look good when they feel bad about certain parts of themselves. All the best.

Hi 🙋‍♂️ This is the first time I've learned about others who had the same feelings. I'm 60 now, but since my puberty my hairy legs have been a huge problem for me. Only at school. I didn't do any sport, I didn't go swimming. During the army, this was also a huge problem. Bathing with my friends, etc. I always felt like shit about it. It is only since I have been doing fitness training and losing weight and building muscles have I built up more self-confidence. First trim with hair and bleach and now just trim and tan a little. It's good to hear that others felt the same way. I feel good. I hope you do too! Jens

Former male model here..so if anyone knows about what men should look like and the beautiful variety of shapes and colors they come in..it's me. Let me start off by saying there has been a HUGE and POSITIVE shift about body hair on men. And it's all about advertising and money guys. Shaving and grooming companies DON'T make any money when men decide to love and accept their body hair. In Europe, Latin America & The Middle East..these companies don't do very well..because their male body hair is seen as a sign of strength, masculinity, fertility, and good health. You need Testosterone to grow body hair..and that hormone is also what makes men strong and fertile. It's what packs on the muscle and gives strength. That's a good thing. And people in the regions I mentioned..whether straight or gay..look for those qualities in men and appreciate them. Body hair removal on men in those regions is seen as feminine and abnormal..and something to be avoided. However..in the USA..which is the land run by corporations and profits..and not human welfare..advertisers have done a fine job of brainwashing both men and women that body and facial hair is bad..unhygienic..dirty..and to be avoided. Which you can do by buying their products! Money talks in America. However..I'm happy to say the current wave of beard growing and anti-manscaping is changing that..and now both men and women realize you can be a professional, clean and healthy looking person and STILL have body hair wherever you want it. This includes women not shaving their bodies either and still feeling beautiful. If you want to shave your hair..go for it. But make SURE you are doing it for YOU..and not because you are scared of what people will think. And for the record..hairy legs on men is SEXY as hell and considered an aphrodisiac in the regions I mentioned. Gucci, YSL, Prada, LV, RL, Hermes..ALL have featured hairy men in their advertising. So.. *Hairy on my brothers!* 🤘🏻🧔🏻👍🏻

I’m 18 years old and when I was 16 I decided to shave my legs in the wrong way, and after that my hairs started growing fast and and thick I dint really mind the long hairs at first until people started noticing my thick hairs (they were not making fun of me but just telling me that I had thick and big hairs) and like you said sometimes the brain decides to make you think that the opinions people give you are actually bad things and it makes you think that they are trying to attack you in some way, and now I’m actually scared to use shorts to go out because I have the feeling people are going to notice them and make fun of me.

I tapped on this because of the title and it was the opposite of what I thought it was! I am insecure about my lack of leg and body hair. I thought I’d read the comments and I’m a bit perplexed. All of you guys freaking out over leg hair should know the opposite. I’ve got legs less hairy than most women and the little fuzz I have on them is blonde and almost invisible. I get people ask me if I shave my legs and I have to tell them to get up close to see the few hairs I’ve got. Same with my arms. My wife and daughters ironically have more arm hair than me. We always want what we don’t have so all of you guys complaining consider what it would be like to look like a prepubescent boy! I was also the last boy in my gym class to start puberty, so if you think it was tough getting picked on for being hairy, the opposite was no picnic. We were required to shower after gym class, so everyone knew. I was nearly 16 before I got pubes and they were so sparse nobody even knew. I was bullied a lot. All things considered I would rather be too hairy than like I am. At least if you’re hairy you can shave it or trim it down.

I'm 17. And i trim/shaved my legs for the first time in 17 years. The end result in the shower was like as if i had shaved my head.... Soo much hair. Bulks of it. My leg hair was so long. I also did the rest of my body. Arm's included. I loved the end result. I never knew that my legs had so much different muscles on them. The hair was covering everything. I always thought that no matter how much i trained them that they where skinny.

This is exactly me but instead of only my super hairy legs, my whole 14 yo body has a massive ammount of hair which makes me think that whenever a part of my body is shown everyone's attention is drawn to it and is judging me for it and for that reason i try to avoid wearing wear shorts and almost never go to swim with my friends or anybody shirtless and whenever i'm wearing shorts i feel really uncomfortable and try to hide my legs and not draw attention to them.

I was insecure about my leg hair too because not a lot of guys have hairy legs in middle school. I am still insecure at 19 years old. In middle school, I was fascinated with the Kardashians. They take a long time to get ready and I felt like it’s okay. In middle school, it would take me 2 hours to get ready to go to school everyday because I needed to shave all my body hair. I had to wake up at 5:30 AM just to shave because I am super insecure. High school I started using tanning/foundation so people don’t think I shave my legs because you could see hair dot under the skin. I have the same trimmer and I tried that but my legs still look funny. I have a epilator that rips my leg hair out but that takes 2 hours for me to do. I am going to try the hair trimmer again as I grow out my leg hair. I hope to feel confident like you.

At least you have lighter colored hair lol, I have really dark brown hair so my leg hair was extremely obvious compared to my light pale skin. Like you said in the video I was never bullied for it but I was extremely self conscious about it to the point where I actually started shaving them.

I have the light skin + very dark hair combo and it's horrendous. My legs are very hairy as well, the hair literally layers over itself. I'm 16 and I used to shave my legs so I could wear shorts, but I stopped doing it because of how much of a pain it is. Especially with the ingrowns. I just don't wear shorts anymore and I only wear pants, which kinda sucks as I would love to wear shorts if my legs weren't so damn hairy. It's so bad that I make sure no one ever sees my legs because of how insecure I am regarding the hair. In the future I'm planning to just fully laser my body. I hate all forms of body hair but it is what it is. Thankfully we live in a time where we have things like this accessible to us

I have literally gone through the exact thing has you, 8th grade i noticed my leg hair was more than others, People used to comment on them, No bullying but it was constant mentions about my leg hair. It’s really took a hold of my life, relationships have been a huge issue, I’ve avoided alot of physical contact moments if you know what i mean because i was to embarrassed, I’m now just over 30 and i’m going for laser as they can reduce the hair also instead of removing it.

As a hairy otter, I’m happy to be the way I am, I have had my upper body shaved 3 times but I enjoy watching the hair grow back so I’m not ashamed of my body hair at all, I just like to have a little fun with my body hair I mean even if I had thick body hair I’d still do the same thing, shave it off and watch it grow back for fun that’s how I like to roll

My brother your legs are incredibly masculine, they look strong too! I gotta say they do resemble mine (and I've always considered mine manly as hell 🤣). Man grooming is perfectly ok, I've done it too when I get tired of the sensibility of having too much hair. I don't dislike my hair at all (looks), but I do notice my body feels better overall when I do some grooming. Just trim them regularly, best to get a trimmer with the plastic spacer shims. Find a decent length and trim every couple weeks or once a month usually keeps things in check.

I don’t think leg hair is a big deal and I don’t think people should care about what others think. I have super hairy legs and I don’t think it’s a big deal at all I think the key for people is too not care about what people think about u and be comfortable in your own skin dudes.

I am gay, so that may colour my judgment slightly, but I wish that hairy men would not shave their body hair, because there are people who really enjoy it. A bearded man is often so much more attractive than a non bearded man, for example. I think you should embrace your body and its hairiness!
