I’m 40 and I grew up hearing Busta Rhymes. He is truly hip hop. He’s strong, passionate, rugged and talented. He deserves this award!

I had the honor of meeting Busta when I interviewed him on a red carpet back in the day out in Westwood, CA. He honestly hugged me like I knew him and when I told him how much he meant to me, he was so humble. I'll never forget that day! A true legend!!!

I was born with Sickle Cell Disease and my condition causes many long Hospitalizations...often, I am fighting for my Life. When I come home, it is Busta Rhymes' music that I listen to. His music makes me feel alive again. His music gives me the courage and the energy to WANT to live again. Busta Rhymes is a legend and I am so moved to see him being rightly honored in this way.

Busta speech gave me chills. Im so happy they gave him his flowers while he’s still here. He defiantly dropped jewels for the NEW AGE RAPPERS.

So glad BET let him speak his mind this long. Busta def got the wisdom and the powerful messages behind him and he needed this moment
