I don’t think she even has a final form... She just becomes more protective of her sister somehow and has the ability to roast Ham harder than she ever did before I mean I don’t think her power even stops at 100%
All cults from all over the world : *we have to do this to u we r absolutly terrified of Angie-* Angie : THATS ANGELICA TO U The cults : Angelica... Please don't hurt us🥺🥺
The strongest love in the entire musical is Angelica's love for Eliza. She would sacrifice herself just to make Eliza happy, just imagine the anger she must've felt in Alexander after he broke Eliza's heart. My favorite lines are "I know my sister like I know my own mind, you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind... I love my sister more than anything in this life, I would choose her happiness over mine every time..."
Eliza knew it, sadly. With the letters of angelica at her, and to alexander, you can guess Eliza knew, but she never hated her sister because, at the end, both of them knew angelica threw her own happiness for her, for Eliza.Angelica was the older sister of a powefull family, her duty was marry a poweful man on that years, so she decided that the person she love can't be with someone better than the sister she love. And we don't know how Eliza felt about Alexander Hamilton on this theme because, like Eliza said on the musical "she erased herself from the narrative", there's no letters of how Eliza felt, probably she destroyed them.@@mariajosepulido3029
“I know my sister like I know my own mind you will never find anyone as trusting more as kind” Peggy and the other Schuyler sisters: *aww* Angelica: *not you*
This is so beautiful. Angelica loves Hamilton but gives him to Eliza, she stands up for her and yells at the person she truly loves. She was the best sister period.
“You wanna know why Jefferson can do what he wants? He doesn’t dignify school yard taunts with a response. So yeah, congratulations.” Favorite line. Like how is no one talking about it, it’s so well written.
I just noticed something. You know how Laurens liked Hamilton and they wrote each other letters a lot? Look at the picture at 1:53. Laurens is in the frame with Eliza, Hamilton, and Angelica. This is also at the part when Angelica said "sacrifice?" It's like she was trying to say "I'm not the only one who gave you away." MY HEART 💀
@@hopefulshadow5787 Well, pieces from this song were used in Reynolds Pamphlet, and she does say: "God, I hope you're satisfied." Sooo.. yeah, your wish has been granted. 😅
@@vinndrawzzzfor some reason I ready “me and my betsy” and thought you were like a 70 year old talking about his wife then I reread the comment and felt sad 😭☠️
my favorite part is at 1:13, where if you pause you can see angelica's eyes. the shadow above her and the light in her eyes makes her look even more terrifying and angry, but her face has this unsettling demeanor. she's masking her anger and waiting for the perfect moment, and when she says congratulations, she smiles and raises her eyebrows slightly, obviously taunting him, and its a little off, which is why it's so perfect. she does it with such an attitude because she's more than annoyed that she sacrificed so much for her sister and he goes and does this. it's my favorite little detail that i think is super cool that you added.
i can just imagine Peggy's reactions like 'oooh you get him sis!!' and when Angelica was like 'i love my sister more than anything in this life-' i can just see Peggy throwing all that popcorn was like 'THEN WHAT AM I? A POTATO???'
Something about sibling love is just so powerful. I’d choose my brother’s happiness over mine every time, and I’d do the same for my cousins because I love my brother and my cousins “more than anything in this life”
1:55 "This fool dares speak to ME of 'sacrifice'?!" Love the little details, the lips syncing along with the eyes narrowing and the grip tightening at 2:19, followed by the tap to the head on "Mind".
In the beginning he looks pissed that shes calling him out and then later she tells him that Eliza was in love from the start and he starts crying like "what have I done" Nice details my dude
I am tired of you people yessss, I loved that a lot cause it shows how Alex slowly realizes how much of a dumb fuvk mistake he made and how he knows he has to try and fix it
I was going to say the exact same thing. Isn't it so freaking fracking amazing???? I have literally fallen in love with Hamilton because of the way she portrays every number.
Maria: (*sleeping with A. ham*) Eliza: (*hears about the news and starts crying*) Angelica: gurl what is wrong? Eliza: he cheated on me! Angelica: hold on.... : ) (A few hours later) Angelica: (*kicks open door*) Everyone: CONGREGATIONS A. Burr: you have invented a new kind on stupid T. Jefferson: a damage you can never undo kind over stupid J. Laurens: and open all the cages in a zoo kind of STUPID. Lafayette: truly you didn't think this through? Angelica: KIND OF STUPID! (*moral of the story: don't frickin cheat!*)
It's sad this song was cut. Because it really captures the anger Angelica felt towards hamilton after alex published the pamphlet and broke Elizas heart. And it adds more to Angelicas character really showing the love she once had for alex which was now hatred and also shows just how much she loves her sister and how much her sister means to her. While part of it was added to the other song this is slot more powerful
@@magentapinky5516 yeah. This song isnt in the musical anymore. They cut it from the list and instead got a few lines from it and added them to the end of another song. But this song as a whole never made it into the musical
It was cut because it was essentially beating a dead horse that burn covered better both the songs are great, but burn conveys it from a better perspective
I love that in the beginning he looks angry and annoyed that angelic is telling him off but by the end he realizes just how much he hurt Eliza and he actually looks heartbroken.
Eliza: Angelica, Alexander cheated on me while we were at Father's house!!! Angelica: John, get your pistols.. We're heading to my brother-in-law's... Phillip look after your mother while we're gone!!
„John, get your pistols“ Cool of you to involve Church😄 Genuinely. He does business around pistols, he fits right in the scene you wrote here. I always think of him when someone jokes that Angelica is gonna get a gun and shoot Alexander for cheating on Eliza, but you're about the second person that I've seen to put him into the joke. So yeah, cool of you.
@@hanasan4845 I feel like John and Eliza would have got on well and so he would have been glad to help... I also feel that John and Angelica would have DEFINITELY been there for Eliza and the kids in the wake of The Reynolds Pamphlet..
@@abbiebagnell1398 You just reminded me of a fanfic I once read where Alexander was jealous becusee of how close friends John and Eliza were, though there really wasn't anything there.😀 It was a nice fic. Also, yeah, I agree about Angelica and John being there for Eliza and the kids when the Reynolds Pamphlet happened😊
TBH for a sec I forgot the whole cheating thing and thought that Angelica would have found out about the duel and bitch slapped Alexander into reality. But I also feel like the whole cheating thing wouldn’t have happened because Alex would be too scared of Angelica. Imagine.... Whatever the girl’s name is: Why don’t you stay with me..?? Alex thinking about an angry Angelica holding a gun: Yeah, no thanks.
This is what she should’ve done: Angelica: Congratulations! For the rest of your life, every sacrifice you make is for my sister give her the best life! **backhands Alexander** Angelica: CONGRATULATIONS.
1:54 That painting kills me. Everyone else in that painting was in love with Alex and wanted to be with him. Homosexuality was illegal at the time, so John Laurens (the best man) couldn't do anything previous to Alex meeting Eliza. Angelica (the maid of honor) sized him up to soon but later fell hard for him. The only reason she didn't make a move was that she knew how her sister felt. She didn't want her to experience the same thing she was going through. Eliza was the only one who was able to be with Alex. And not to mention that it seems like that painting was finished thousands of years prior. Everyone was happy, (well, except for John who was depressed/suicidal but that's beside the point) had a stable career, Philip was just born, and everything seemed to be falling into place perfectly. Later, John dies on the field. In an effort to cope with his grief, Alex never takes a break from working. Angelica marries a man she never loved. Alex has an affair from overworking himself and publishes the affair for all of America to read.
Though this was two years old if you look at the photo, Angelica looks like she’s faking her smile but yes I feel so bad for John because he really was the best guy in my opinion, but I do know that John was indeed suicidal but when he met Alexander he stopped drinking so much and felt happier but when Eliza got into the story I think everything came back to him…but that’s what I heard im not sure if it is true though ❤
I wish they kept that in the play. This song reveals that even though Angelica sacrificed her happiness for her sister - she did it anyway because she loves her and will put her first. In comparison to Hamilton who sacrificed his family for the sake of his political career. It really does show that she is the better woman if not man than Hamilton. Eliza might not have the best husband, but she definitely has the best older sister for sure.
"I love my sister more than anything in this life, I will choose her happiness over mine everytime" Angelica is the sweetest and Eliza deserved better😭
I think Peggy died by that time, but it’s still sad ;-;. Also, in “Take A Break”, Angelica came from London to go uptown with Eliza, Alex, and Phillip ( and maybe there other kids but idk. ) Angelica and Eliza were hugging and Alex said, “The Schuyler Sisters”. P e g g y But I think she died by that time, too.
Angelica wasn't lying when she said that he was "Blessed with the best wife". I mean, she forgave him when he cheated, let their son take part of a duel, never spend time with her and the moment she's gone he's in the sheets with another woman, and even after he died, she made sure history would remember his name. Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton really was the Best Wife. Edit: I made this a year ago and I just wanna add on/correct myself. Alexander being called a “bad husband” I think is a bit of a stretch. Yeah, he did some shitty things but he was a good husband to her outside of it. He genuinely valued Eliza and (at least from what I know) never had purposeful ill-intent against her. At least he wasn’t like Jefferson in historical accuracy. Hamilton was probably on the better side of husbands in the late 1700s - early 1800s. Of course, that’s not to say that just because he could’ve been worst justifies his mistakes. I think that Eliza being “too forgiving” just makes her more of an empathetic person. It’s not that she’s blind to see his mistakes, it’s that she knows that if she continues to hold onto those hurtful and emotionally traumatizing moments, she’ll never recover. Her continuing to make sure his legacy was remembered truly shows that she loved him to the very end and understood him deeper than anyone else had.
I wish they'd kept this song in before Burn, Reneé's singing and portrayal of Angelica's emotions here are so damn powerful and raw; would have been beautiful to see it on stage. However, I'm glad that the animatics allow it to live on.
Peggy: It needs some salt Eliza: ok Leaves the house for several hours and returns with Burr Alex:..... Also ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cSk19m6WhfA.html I covered congratulations if anyone is interested
[Eliza] _becomes the wife of a terrible husband_ [Angelica] *uses an overused RU-vid Meme to prove a point* [Peggy] *becomes the largest Hamilton Meme in the history of musicals*
Chocolate Banana Smoothies Can't say it's bad advice cause he couldn't risk Phillip dying with Eliza already dealing with a lot of bs. But it backfired cause George is such a butthead.
Alexander looks guilty and defeated. Angelica hides depression and protects her sister, and yet she hides her love for Alexander but hearing him cheat on Eliza was something that probably broke her love for Alexander.
Love is unconditional. What hurts for Angelica is that even though she hates him at the moment she still loves him, and hates HERSELF for that as she feels she’s betraying Eliza.
Angelica : *Arrived Alexander : Oh look, it's my sister-in-law Alexander : She's my wife's sister Alexander : My wife whom I cheated on Alexander : . . . She must be here to comfort me
i would've loved to see angelica eat roasted ham on stage or in the film Edit because I just saw this lovely detail where Philip and Eliza are together and some random lady was talking about them and he got defensive, I think that is such a heartbreaking part and I don’t see anyone talking about it.
I love how at first Alexander looks glad that she came to visit him, but them she pushed the paper at him to show that she clearly isn't. (And yet he still doesn't get it) Love the details.
Eliza: Gets cheated on and butns paper in depression. Angelica: Finds out her sister was cheated on and cooks her brother in law alive. After this she feeds him to her sister as a mystery meat and calls her secret ingredient, "love."
I love the small details. Like how when Angelica says sacrifice, on the portrait it has Eliza, Alex, and Angelica, but it also has Laurens. Like she was saying "I'm not the only who sacrificed something."
Aww. I love that so much, he sacrificed his life for his country and he gave Alex to the Schuyler sisters instead of having a relationship with him. This is the saddest but cutest thing ever.
Am I the only one who can hear Hamilton say “Eliza...” quietly in the background while Angelica screams her name? It shows him realizing just how much he “fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck” ed up
