This year, VUB's Honours Programme focused on ‘climate change & crisis’. It was led by VUB professor Hannah Van Hove. In the second semester, she collaborated with philosopher, author and VUB PACT curator Alicja Gescinska, who put the topic of ecocide on the agenda.
The programme was attended by 16 students from diverse faculties and offered eight sessions with a number of renowned guest lecturers. During the closing ceremony, Alicja gave feedback on the final works and the students were presented with the Honours Programme certificate.
‘The most important thing I take away from the programme? That there is hope and a lot of people who really care about our world,’ said one of the students.
