Because apparently people today are more fucking sensitive rather than people before. It could also be that consoles are more accessible to kids nowadays.
+Giordan Diodato what makes it worse is the N64 was made on a family gaming system imagine all the parents who thought this was a cute squirrel game to realize what it is really about
The worst part is that they, no joke, have a option you can unlock that uncensors the multiplayer mode, where characters swear as bad as in the actual game, yet there's no option to uncensor the story mode. I wish someone could hack the game and replace all the audio in the xbox version with the audio from the N64 version, but it would probably be a massive pain in the ass to do so, and comparatively sound worse to all the new audio.
***** What series? Besides Bad Fur Day and that other game on Game Boy that no one knows exists, Conker hasn't had any more games since 2000, and no, remakes do not count as another installment.
The bleeps are funnier: what’s wrong with you? What would you rather hear: a common, boring swear-word heard 24/7 by literally everyone, or a nasty, obnoxious, wet fart instead? Yeah, I choose the latter.
3 minutes later, the news is reporting on a now dead squirrel who was, according to the few witnesses, fighting a sentient poop, and then saw them drink from sewage water, mistaking it for chocolate milk, only to die within a minute.
Can't believe Nintendo, the family game company had the more sweary version of this game and it was microsoft that was the one that censored. Still boggles my mind.
Is censorship seriously the main complaint that deems the remake as bad? Honestly I would understand it if Rare removed controversial cutscenes but the last time I checked the cutscenes are still funny even with the bleeped words.
@@StarChimera First of all - the walls are made out of literal flowing shit. It would not sound like in a marble palace. Second of all, realism? Conker is trying to defeat an enormous singing pile of poo by throwing rolls of toilet paper twice the size of himself at Mighty Poo's mouth.
Mr. Slim we’re not saying the game is bad because of the censorship its just that the censor ruins the song why would you want to hear a song with loads of bleeps and those weird sounds
God, this version of the game is gorgeous but lacks expression and needs less censoring. Also is it me or did they redub the poo entirely? It may be the same voice actor but the way he says things sounds different.
Yeah they most likely did since they credit the same voice actor. in the credits and if you look up the original you can hear the differences at parts. I'd still love to own this version since it looks so nice. Not that it's any better than the original..but I do love me some remastered games.
Porkman They did re-record it. They for some reason decided that his singing voice wasn't similar enough to his speaking voice, so they re-recorded the song to fix it. Some of the changes they made were ridiculous.
I think the characters themselves look better on the xbox version but they animate like ass compared to the original. Also the N64 version felt like it had more character and charm, and it also felt more impressive that the N64 pulled off this game than the xbox if you ask me.
@@paulgilbert5278 It’s not called echo, it’s called reverb. I worked as an audio engineer for a few years. The N64 version has 0 reverb on the audio. And It would have been too time consuming back then to add reverb anyway. Not to mention the fact that it would have sounded much worse on the N64 if they added reverb because of the low audio fidelity. Whoever mixed the remastered version basically slapped reverb on it because they could make it sound better. It would have been better to just use the original audio, because this version is unequivocally worse
I'm glad that they did the N64 version in the Rare Replay. Plus Conker's Bad Fur Day is a lot better without the censorship, unlike in the remastered one.
Cody Jones yeah but the remastered one had a fun online multiplayer, unlike the original. If they added multiplayer to the original bad fur day, i would have been satisfied with that. They should have added both.
On Rare Replay, you can unlock behind-the-scenes stuff by unlocking achievements in all 30 of their games with Conker's Bad Fur Day being one of them. One of the ideas they had for the Great Mighty Poo that was scrapped was that the sweet corn were going to be featured in the song as his backup singers!
I think the singing in the original was better, as the echo and the music didn't overpower his voice. And also what's with the cencorship? I mean, I've never played Conker's Bad Fur Day but it WAS meant to be an adult game, right?
Personally I'd find it hilarious and nostalgic to hire someone like that. Of course, we're the people who played the game, and for us, it means something completely different than a "legitimate businessman"
Censorship aside, I honestly like this version of Sloprano more than the N64 version. The GMP's voice is more powerful, the echo effect adds to that power, and the fact that he drags out the final "My BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTT!!" as long as possibly really adds to the bombast.
Ugh, god. This version is awful. Not only is it censored, but they added that shitty echo effect The song is honestly hard to listen to now. Why is it that "childish" Nintendo was able to have these swear words, but the fucking MICROSOFT XBOX thought that it was a good idea to censor them out???
i would had loved to play this version but censoring all of the original script to be kid friendly then xbox live multiplayer gets uncensored cussing when fighting killed it
This boss needs to be ported to a game like world of warcraft as a dungeon or raidboss. Uncencord of cause. Or at least in heroic. Can give a debuff for movement or aim, or something. Achivmeant: Unflushed Defeat him without toiletrolls or using the flushhandle
A raid boss like the great mighty poo? I can see the rage on the forums on the first week on mythic. Tanks complaining about how the boss ignores agro and throws at random, and then you got the few DPS who played Conker, and knew how to handle the fight by picking up an item you get just for this boss encounter. It'd be one hell of a boss fight to say the least.
@@thedigitalsymphony3585 That's really childish of you to not buy a game just because words got censors. If the gore was censored, I understand. But you're complaining about... words.
Indeed what a piece of (poo censor) tactic. They should pull their head out of their (wet fart censor) and stop being a little (Dry fart censor) about it
Mimimimi. I am the great mighty poo and I'm going to throw my #@$# at you! A huge supply of tish comes from my chocolate starfish. How about some scat you little #$!#?
cuckelburr Do you really think you'll survive in here? You don't seem to know which creek you're in! Sweet corn is the only thing that makes it through my rear. How'd you think I keep this lovely grin? *twinkle* Have some more caviar!
Yeah, I'm glad they at least had fun with it and put in fart sounds instead of bleeps. What it took away through censorship it added in charm. Both versions have pros and cons, but that's me.
The messed up the game when when they did this they censored what made the humor great and they really messed up when they dubbed an echo effect on the great mighty poo and ruined his voice in the process
This level remake is also missing the oozing texture that covered everything in the original.

I don't like both graphics and censorship in this version. The scrolling textures were much more disgusting in the original version. Shit just flowed in the N64 version, here everything looks so static and plastic. And that echo is way too much in my opinion. Even with the low poly models and low resolution textures, the N64 version looks better.
I feel like there’s a compromise with the remake being hi-def and the negative being the lack of facial expressions. Notice that the Great and Mighty Poo keeps that same expression and looks like he’s looking above Conker rather than down below at him.
Because Microsoft and some retail stores were special snowflakes back then. Even worse was that there were whispers about a cheat code that you unlock after playing the main story which un-censors both the main story and the multiplayer mode, but it turns out that this code only works on multiplayer.
All the running around the player does in this video is making me sick. Apparently he didn't think of just standing completely still next to the B-pad and side-stepping the hurled shit.
I remember being to sing his whole song ( including Conker's lines) by heart, withot the need of the music. Actualky, now that I think about it, I still am able.
Ltr121312 I would really love to see an uncut version that features these graphics though.. If they had released this on pc aswell someone would have modded the original soundfiles within a week.. :\ But I also agree that the original visuals looked cartoonier and fit the game better.. And especially if you play it at 1080p in an emulator it still looks pretty awesome. :)
xbox: okay we need to sensor the word twat and shit xbox employee: what about basterd? xbox: that word? naaah only brits use that- americans wont even understand.
Man, when he chokes on toilet paper and throws up corn and shit, it actually looks better on the N64. It looks like you're getting pelted in the face with wet shart.
Why is the game censored? I thought the whole point of Conkers Bad Fur Day was to laugh at censorship by making a gross, raunchy, adult game for a kid-friendly dominated market. And when they can go completely balls-to-the-wall will the raunchy factor since its on the xbox, they instead make it MORE kids friendly by censoring it. Why?
Microsoft didn't want to get a bad reputation by publishing a game that was too raunchy. That's why. Nintendo simply didn't give a shit back then, but Microsoft is too worried about their professional business rep. It's stupid, I know.
Linkfan99 Bullshit. Microsoft has published more offensive games before. I'm pretty sure there was an xbox game in which you participated in wacking teletubbie look-a-likes into bloody chunks. This game is kiddy stuff compared to whats out there now. It was a big deal back then because there wasn't anything like it. Now? I could probably buy Conkurs Bad Fur Day on the N64 for my 12 year old cousin and nobody would bat an eye.
Linkfan99 But people don't care about that difference if theyre gonna be so concerned about how a raunchy a game is. If microsoft was SO concerned about curse words and poop jokes then they wouldn't have let this game be put on their console to begin with. They let it be made as an EXCLUSIVE for gods sake. That means they took a closer look than usual at this game and said, "I'll allow it."
It's an exclusive because they own the rights to it. They published it, and they don't want to tarnish their reputation as a business. They let, say, Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto on their consoles, and these have tons of drugs, sex, and swearing. However, they are not affiliated with these franchises in any way other than them being on their platform. If they are going to oversee development of a game such as this, that's a different matter.
I'm in the minority when I say this, but I personally don't get bothered by the cenorship. It's neat that the N64 version got ported over to Xbox One, but I wish the Xbox remake did, too. Knowing Rare, they can edit the coding for their old-ass games and make them loads better. Look at Perfect Dark; widescreen, HD graphics and 60fps. I dunno if they can edit the coding for the sounds/dialogue, but if they can, maybe they can uncensor the Xbox remake and do some other remastering stuff with it, put it on Xbox One and BAM. A game fans can enjoy, hopefully even the people who bitch about the censorship, can enjoy.
+Sergeant Sunflower actually, there was originally planned to be a code for the game to remove censoring, but that was removed out of fear that stores wouldn't want to sell it. The actual audio files for the final version of the game are censored themselves. it's not like it has the words in and a fart sound over it, the raw audio itself is censored.
Fun fact to everyone: originally this game was supposed to be completely uncensored, but because it would have likely landed this on the AO scale from ESRB- thus banning this game from physical retailers entirely- they had to remove the option to even hear the words uncensored from the code entirely.
The general bias at rating this remastered version is that people grew up playing the original N64 uncensored version. If you ignore the fact that they censored certain parts, the remastered song is much more detailed, rich and in-depth.
Microsoft "didn't of" make Live and Reloaded. Rare did. They are the developers. They chose to remake it. They were going to remake it the same way on the Gamecube before they chose to join Microsoft. Please, get a clue before speaking of things which you have no idea about. A couple of English lessons wouldn't kill you either.
Lol, still to this day one of my favorite boss fights. I actually just started playing Live and Reloaded again, I'm about to be at the Rock Night Club.
