So I've bought the Ray and the new Connect 2 after Henning's review. I saw another review for the Connect 6 and thought it was overkill for what I intended to use the Connect 2 for (gaming rig voice chats/streaming). Yesterday I setup the Connect 2 and Ray and ran the autosetup with engaged denoiser, compressor and clipping protector. Unfortunately this does not work since the comp is way too aggressive for the denoiser to still work properly and the denoiser does not prevent keystrokes from being audible since the threshold is set too low. Now in my mind I thought no problem, just adjust them as seen in the video and oh my: You cannot set anything with the Connect 2, it seems to be only possible with the Connect 6 to adjust compressor and denoiser. I love the formfactor, the preamps and the actual interface of the Connect 2 but please - pretty please with sugar on top - give us the same adjustability for the plugins as the Connect 6 has. The current presets are unusable for the most simple gaming setup since mechanical keyboards are way louder than what your preset thinks it should tame and the many fans of a gaming rig are way too loud for what your comp thinks it should boost. We need to be able to adjust the plugins just as much as the Connect 6 allows us to. For now I have pretty much a nice paperweight that I cannot use with the intended plugins (and I specifically wanted a hardware plug-in solution to have the gaming power unaffected). It would be nice to have that ability quickly added to the Connect software so I can start using the mic/interface combo.

Hey, thank you for the feedback. It's very valuable to us. I've passed this along to our product team. Just a suggestion for the denoiser, make sure you are typing during the denoiser sound check and then it will set the threshold above that noise. For the compressor, if you back off the gain you can get less compression (Gain reduction is shows in orange on the dial). Obviously that gives you less output but it is a temporary workaround for now.

Thanks for sharing this experience. I was shortlisting this interface for my 'on-the-go' set-up in the near future, and would look out for this issue to get rectified soon. I think this is the most compact two channel interface I've known about so far.

@@LEWITT-audio Thank you for the work-around tips. I already did that "typing while denoise-recording" and it reacts too harshly so my voice was overly affected from the denoiser then. The comp is tamable when gain is backed up and the Ray will still keep you audible but I'd rather set my comp how I like it and experiment with the sound. After two more days of using the combo I have another suggestion, sorry :) Please incorporate a stand-by mode with an adjustable time-out setting, so you can enter after how many minutes the device and therefore the 48V on my mic are turned off. I walked by the past two days in the morning to find my (beautifully set) RGB icons and meters reacting to my steps and thought it might not be ideal to have this setup permanently up and running. I wouldn't mind having it turned on again when my device is booting and the software starts or alternatively push the mute (or any other) button to wake it up, but I sure as shit will forget to turn it off in the evening :)

I bought the device and will take it back to the store tomorrow, in what way can nothing be set up manually? Why can't I adjust the compressor myself? Where is de essor? What about the gate (denoise)? Why is it working so poorly? Guys, this device is very limited, untie your hands, make it possible to add virtual tracks for chat, music and browser and adjust these channels with the help of a physical twister on the device body. I am very grateful to you also for your care and the fact that you added 3 equalizer presets to us in the form of "clean, wam and vivid", but maybe you didn't know, but some people want to make themselves an equalizer!! I am terribly disappointed with the limited functionality of the device

Hey, sorry to hear that it was not a good fit for your workflow. Honestly it sounds like you should have gotten the CONNECT 6, not CONNECT 2. The whole premise of CONNECT 2 is that very simple and easy to use--one click for a great sound. It's really designed for people who don't want to mess with the technical settings, but just get a sound and start recording. If you want more control, the CONNECT 6 is the better option. You have a 4 band EQ and a compressor and expander with control over all the l parameters. Plus a lot of routing options and virtual channels.

@@LEWITT-audio I was looking for a budget and high-quality audio interface for one microphone, why would I overpay for additional functions such as a second microphone input and so on? I want a compact device and I like your company as a brand. It's good that you gave the opportunity to make automatic settings, but what's the problem with making an uncut application from connect 6 to connect 2? Can't the iron inside handle it? I think you are just deliberately strangling your users so that they would be forced to buy a device more expensive and overpay for unnecessary ports, you have just started your sales with this device and I am only one of the first buyers who paid attention, but there will be more since the price category of the product falls into the section of streamers and entry-level gamers of their career,we are full of enthusiasm and determination, give us the opportunity to use the application at the connect 6 level

@@LEWITT-audio I understand that apart from your company, everyone else does nothing when compared with your company, you make cool breakthrough products, it's just that I, as a flatterer, want to see full-fledged functionality, even in a more budget version, and these are words without a negative tilt, I'm just trying to influence your future,do not disappoint your fans, you will easily take away the audience at Elgato and Go XLR

@@LEWITT-audio Hello again, Lewit! I recently purchased a Connect 6 device and have been using it for about a week. So far, everything seems to be working well for me in terms of processing, and it's definitely a step up from my previous Connect 2 device. There are no issues with it at all. To answer your question, I think this device would be suitable for streamers and podcasters. It does allow you to distribute sound from Discord chats, games, and other systems over different virtual channels. However, I do wish there was a way to adjust the volume of individual virtual channels. Right now, I have to minimize the game every time I want to lower the music volume, which can be annoying for my viewers who have to watch a minimized game.I understand if it is not possible to do this with a controller on the card itself. However, I would appreciate it if you could at least add the option to do so with the help of hotkeys, which I will attach to my streaming deck. This would allow me to adjust the volume of individual virtual channels. Additionally, I would like hotkeys to turn on and off the output of virtual channel A or B. There is also an issue with Ducker. While the function works well, it can only be activated from microphone 1 or 2, or a mobile device port. If I have assigned Discord to a separate virtual channel, I am unable to select it as the mute source. Thank you for your consideration. I hope you can help me with these issues.
