Ever since I first got my stackmat I've been wanting to be able to do this. Now I can finally time my times on CSTimer with my Gen4 stackmat thanks to you
Are there any alternative ways to fix the auto stopping problem on pc because there are like 50 stuff plugged into my pc and I can't un plug everything
I mean, it should technically be available, but you need a super specific wire (might be wrong, smth like this): 2.5mm to 3.5mm headphone jack connector with 90° bend on the 2.5mm side, as thin as possible-To be safe, buy it from The Cubicle😅
I have the problem where when my timer is on it says on the stackmat widget it says off, and i did everthing but im so confused and I need help I really want this to work and sometimes its working but the time is not being put on the side and not generating a new scramble.
@@LittleLimeCuber Make sure it is in the right slot in the adapter, and that everything on the software side is correct. Unfortunately I cannot tell you how to fix it without seeing your exact setup...
@@TheSuperflip i am confused because i have everything that you did and even though i have a pc i am confused, but the thing is that when it says let cstimer connect to stackmat my timer is on, but it shows that it is off and when i turn it on and the stackmat widget says the volume is 100 percent when it is on and it just keeps adjusting which is weird and all the software stuff is correct to. by any chance do you know anyone who has a pc that can make a video. That would be really helpful.
Interesting; it does that sometimes, weirdly. I would recommend keeping any other electronics away from your cable or timer in general (not necessarily plugged in electronics), and try to keep anything in general from touching it. If that still doesn't work, try moving to a different location if possible; this will maybe make the electrical interference different so that it doesn't make the timer break. I hope this helps! If you do find any solution, let me know so I can help others in the future :)
Nice clear video thanks @thesuperflip. The signal is analog and vulnerable to noise! You can see when you test the microphone it picks up any surrounding sound.. If your Stackmat is on an uneven surface just jogging it about can cause behaviour like stopping the timer in cstimer after a fraction of a second. I guess cstimer thinks it's the stop signal. You can get bluetooth timers but my personal problem is getting any timer to work with iPad. This would be very convenient but proving tricky.😢
That’s strange. Unfortunately because I cannot see your exact setup, I cannot tell you the root cause with certainty. However, do try these tips: - Make sure you selected “USB Audio Device” in your System Settings - Make sure you allow your browser to use the microphone - Make sure you click “ok” when CSTimer prompts you to connect the Stackmat - In the drop-down of the Stackmat timer function on CSTimer, select “USB Audio Device” Tell me if these things work, and don’t be afraid to send me a reply if you still need help! Happy Holidays!
@@TheSuperflip I have a similar issue and the time shows up after i stop the timer and just doesn't get entered I've tried switching devices and the issue is the same I've also done all the things you've said in that reply
i have an adapter that has a wire input so i put it inside then it splits into red and green wires. does that do the same thing? im also doing this on an ipad so idk if it wil work
Unfortunately, if you are using a G5 timer, the flashing is due to the timer itself stopping the signal that it’s sending. There’s not much you can do except injecting custom scripts into CSTimer to bypass it. If you want, I can try to find a way to do it… Personally I just let it be, as it doesn’t disrupt the functionality. Sorry for not being able to give a good answer, but I hope it helps!
Hi, The video provided was helpful. I was trying it in my iMac(Desktop), macOs Monterey but the I encountered issues with the red light flickering once when keep my hands on the stack mat, and the red light would not stay for more than half a second. The lighter I keep my hands on the timer the more it fluctuates. I've tried it on a Windows 11 device and it worked perfectly. I followed all the instructions but it still didn't work. I even tried changing the batteries, but same result. Could you help me out? Thanks in advance!
Hello! Sorry for the late response... may I ask if this is a 4th or 5th Generation stackmat? It's slightly different for both (I can't be sure of the issue, but I may be able to get a better idea)
If you mean "adapter" as using the green and pink audio splitter, then yes, it will likely work. However, if you mean using a regular wire that will connect the 2.5mm to a 3.5mm jack on your MacBook, then I will say it probably won't work. I recommend buying the adapter still. Hope this helps!
If you are using mobile, you need to make sure your device has a USB-C port. You would need to still use the adapter, and go into your device's settings to change the mic to the "USB Audio Device" as it would be probably called. This most likely will work, but I do not guarantee it. Hope this helps!
Hmm... does that show on CSTimer or on your System Settings? Try going to settings, clicking on the "Input" tab (On MacOS, or the equivalent on Windows) and then clicking the adapter there. This is because the adapter technically **can** serve as both a input and an output.
It should be rather similar. It should be exactly the same on the hardware side. On the software side, make sure you select “USB Audio Device” in your sound menu as input. Then in CSTimer, make sure you select that same USB audio device. Then you should be all good to go. If you need any more help, let me know and I’ll see.
Hello! Sorry for the late reply... Unfortunately, I cannot assist you with the details because I cannot see how your system is set up. However, check these following things: - Wire is plugged into the correct hole on the audio splitter - Plugs are snugly fit into all of the ports, and are working - Check the CSTimer 'stackmat' function (at the bottom right) and see if you can find your device in the dropdown Please let me know if this helps!
@@TheSuperflip thank you i finally discovered the problem, i clicked the dropdown menu but it did not show the audio device in the menu. Could you make another video about the problem and how to fix it? You have great video quality, and i think more people will see this video with the same problem I have, so it would be really helpful for your channel and people who watch your videos to have a more in depth tutorial on this. Thank you so much for answering me though.
Did you end up fixing the problem? If you did, I would appreciate if you could send me a detailed description of the problem and solution, and I may make a video on it :) Thank you!
You can search up the way to set it for windows on Google, ig. However, you can also do it in CSTimer by setting the “stackmat” function in the bottom left, selecting the drop-down, and clicking something like “USB audio device” that would be in that list. Hope it helps! (Reply to this if you still need assistance :D)
Hmm... I unfortunately cannot diagnose the exact issue without looking at your setup. However, here are some tips to try: - Make sure that the wire is plugged into the right colored port on the splitter - Make sure that "USB Audio Device" is selected as your microphone (not speaker!) - Try using the "Stackmat" function on CSTimer (in dropdown at bottom right hand corner) and again selecting "USB Audio Device" Sorry for not being able to give a direct answer. Feel free to ask me again if it still doesn't work. Hope this helps!
I really suggest drilling F2L, with solve walkthroughs, or “F2L tricks” videos from creators on RU-vid (they surprisingly help). Additionally, ensure you can plan out your entire cross during inspection, so in the future you can try to track at least 1 piece of your first pair.
@@TheSuperflip i love you! thank you so much i never thought of improving on cross. :D i already have all the f2l algs memorized do no worry there. thank you SO much!
