How To Setup a Stackmat With csTimer!

I hope this helps you guys get your stackmat timer setup with csTimer! The biggest keys are making sure you're on the https version of csTimer and if you have a laptop with a mix aux jack, you need the USB Microphone adapter. I haven't tested it on every OS, but there shouldn't be any reason this doesn't work on nearly every platform (including Linux). Having this setup can be a great way to practice competition style at home without having to annoyingly enter every time. I used to practice 2x2 by manually entering times and this definitely would have saved me a bunch of time.

1.5 years ago I bought that cable to connect my timer with my laptop and it didn't work, I tried it on Chrome, Firefox, Explorer and it all didn't work, I gave up and never used that cable again. Now I see this video and I'm instantly buying that USB adapter. Thanks Chris!

Yes! thank you for making this video! I have also found that if you are using a dell computer or laptop, with windows 10 as soon as you plug anything into the aux port, it asks what it is such as microphone, headphones, microphone and headphones, line, etc, for the stackmat to work you need to use "line in". Also you dont need to use that adapter, but it can be useful

Very nice video. I had these problems as well and had to do my own research to make it work. You don't really need the USB little sound card, you can also make it work with a jack splitter cable like the one I use to connect my headset with separate mic and headphone jacks to the combined 4-way jack in the laptop. You just have to plug the time to the mic input female connector

You don't always need the adapter. Your computer should have an option to use the combined input as only a microphone. Mine was in "Realtek HD Audio Manager', but you might have to do some research if you don't have a Realtek audio card. If you change the combined headphone and mic to just a mic it will work without the adapter. Just remember to change it back if you want to use headphones later.

I managed to get timer working with Windows 10 laptop 2in1 plug, by somehow getting into "Realtek Audio Console" then in "Connector Retasking" set to ANALOG Mic In. Thanks for the video (Oh, I also disabled headphones)

Mine works but... It stops at 0.00x like 50% of the time... Anyone knows how this is possible? I disabled other mics, and tried different volumes from the stackmat and disabled agc, nothing seems to make a difference.

yeah, I have the same issue with my gen4 stackmat, but only when realeasing hands slowly from stackmat, taking hands fast is less likely to have 0.00x time

I have a MoYu timer and I plugged it in but the two lines on each side stay. I use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm port to connect them. I'm using an iMac and my browser is chrome. Please help.

I'm not sure if a Yuxin timer will work. They are mostly a cheap knockoff. Cord is linked in the description.
