The mocopi is finally here, but how do we use it? Let's connect it to game engines to build out interesting animation and game-making workflows
I'm mainly covering animation in unreal and building in unity, though the folks at Sony wanted me to mention that the newest version of the Unreal plugin supports building. I was using the older version for most of this tutorial.

Now that Sony is getting involved in this, watch how the prices of all the others will start to drop in an effort to compete. This is why competition is so important, otherwise some company will charge insane amounts of money for stuff since they know you have no other options. I hope Sony perfects this as well as adds hand options.

I wonder how one would do a hybrid approach to use the mocopi trackers for hips and below and the oculus for hand and head tracking.

The Unity API compatibility setting for .Net Framework refers to .Net Framework 4.8 and is basically equivalent to .Net Standard 2.0.

Hello. Thank you for the great video. I'm curious about something while watching the video. if I apply Mocopi to Woody's character, I wonder if I just need to connect it by applying Live Link Pose to AnimGraph for facial setting?

was it possible for you to run both mocopi app + livelink facial app on the same phone when you were doing this? or did you used another phone to run both apps seperatly?

Is it possible to use the mocopi system for capturing the body, while using a quest pro for hand, face, and eye tracking, all at the same time? I’m considering buying StretchSense gloves, but I could save a lot of money if I just use my quest pro.

nice video! Compared to rokoko and vivetrackers, you think mocopi is good enough for mocap?

I think it all depends on what you want to do with mocap. I think they’re incredible for specific things. One example: If you’re doing short video game animations, I think this is some of the best stuff out there.

The mocopi application in the Playstore in my country is not available. How can I solve this if I am about to buy the product?

bro, maybe you can help me with my animation get baked because I stuck and don't know what to do.. What do I do wrong with my mocopi? I use Mocopi to simply animate my Metahuman and bake this animation into asset - there are many videos on youtube how to do it and the pipeline is very clear at the first sight. Here what I do and everytime I have the same result - my animation asset is "empty": 1. I record animation via "take recorder" and get a level sequence scene in "takes" - here everything is okay and my metahuman acts as it should be. 2. Then, in order to bake animation for MH, I add my metahuman form outliner to this level sequence - right under recorded animation. And it refuses to be added even if I unlock the sequence. 3. I delete my metahuman from outliner, open recorded take again, drop MH again from content browser and it works fine again 4. I delete all rigs (face and body) and bake the animation for "body" of MH - now I get an asset with my animation 5. I open new level sequence, add MH, delete all rigs and add this baked animation to "body" of MH But it just doesn't work. Seems like this asset of baked animation is empty or so..( What I do wrong? Where is a mistake? If someone have the same problem or knows how to solve it - please, reply, guys) Thank y'all!

You can output BVH directly from your phone which works very well in blender

Any experience with drift so far, or is that only in vr chat?

Like all IMU trackers, there's gonna be drift. I was expecting more than there is for sure - I was pleasantly surprised. Caveat that I haven't tried to stream or anything with it yet.

@@WoodyDevs Neato, but has it gotten worse overtime, maybe its been improved but I saw some older videos mentioning that they would need to recalibrate more and more overtime as they used it.
