I grew up in CT and actually lived on Cherry St. in Milford about a quarter of a mile from where you started on #2 so that was wild to see

Those rural areas make it so tough. Nice overall time all things considered! That 3rd round in Cheshire had some gorgeous scenery! Makes me really want to visit New England again.

9:30 I saw all kinds of NY plates parked so thought it'd be near New York, but that makes sense to be a town in New York. You should've looked at the plates!

From NY and I when you went into a town called Pound Ridge (which is in NY, Westchester) I was shocked because I knew you had to be IN THE CORNER of connecticut.

Finally a state i’ve been to! My family used to go to Mohegan Sun a decent amount when I was a kid. Went to Mystic on one of those trips as well. Been up there a few times recently since my brother goes to college in CT now.

I always drive through connecticut for hockey. lovely state, the fall time in ct has to be the most beautiful season with the trees great series, love it!

I have not yet been to Connecticut, or any state in New England. I’ve been to every other region of the US, but New England has still evaded me. Hopefully I can take a week off at some point to fly into Boston then road trip around the region

I went to Mystic, CT, with a friend back in August. Cute little place - the kind that would be good for 2 days but then you would get bored. And only a few miles from Westerly.

Nice game CG. I was up in Milford in late 2020 helping a friend move. Stayed overnight so that's how i get to claim Connecticut as one of the states I've been to. I've driven through the North too back in 2013 on my way to Maine.

I've been to the Connecticut state high point haha. I've also been to New Haven to visit Yale. Otherwise I've driven/taken the train through it many times.

Rocky Hill is home to Dinosaur State Track, which includes some preserved dinosaur tracks. The walkway to the display area has a linear display of the history of life on Earth. It's always surprising how relatively recent the dinosaurs were in the grand scheme of things. There are also preserved dino tracks just to the north in Massachusetts's Connecticut River Valley near the towns of Northampton and Amherst. Those were among the earliest dinosaur tracks ever discovered by people, and helped kick off humanity's love affairs with dinosaurs and prehistory in general.

9:07 Ah, that "Town Speed Limit" sign is unique to New York. You will also find examples of this but the sign will say something different like, "state", "park", "village", "city", or "area"

I knew you slipped into New York because it said Pound Ridge 10756 and NY ZIP codes begin with 1 while CT ZIP codes always begin with 0

i love how you pronounced "860" as "eight sixty" i have lived in 860 territory (essentially, hartford county and northern CT) my whole life and we say "eight six oh" LOL also, Berlin, CT, is pronounced "BURR-lin" serious stress on the first syllable, different from Germany. The rural locations in CT are super hard. My record for this 25k in IG is around 7 mins, but with 5 good rounds under 3 mins is definitely possible, having lived in the state my whole life. I just have to keep trying.
