Absolutely insane, and he's not even nearly as fast as Kipchoge, how nuts is that

Bro will get it! Kiptum will make this a fast race, and Conner's got both the speed and that "grit" you need in a marathon.

One thing we know about Conner...he leave it all on the course. He'll get the qualifying time and be the fastest American on Sunday.

Why would a aspiring Olympic qualifier be running 1500M, 5000M, 10000M races? Whereas he has no met the Olympic qualifying time? Where is the focus? CM does not respect the distance nor the effort and dedication required to excel in this discipline.

To stay fit and retain speed. Running long distance constantly makes your body prone to injury. You only have so many marathons and half marathons that you can run without blowing up. Plus, I would fully trust Ed Eyestone as his coach.

@@Davbaldwin1 fit for what race ? His 10000M is the same. His 42K has to improve or he will not make the Olympic Qualifying time in Chicago. 2HR 10M. If he runs 2HR 11M or less it will be a woman's pace. Chepngetich may use him as a pacer.

@@coachwanga-vj6nk fit is fit...its training for the marathon. Why are you bent out so shape if an athlete runs a1,500 or a 5k if that athlete runs the marathon? Conner has unbelievable range.

@@coachwanga-vj6nk Hmmm, Conner dropped a 2 hour 7 minute time...and easily met the Olympic qualifying time. Maybe racing the 1.5K thru 5K is good preparation? Clayton Young also met the qualifying time.

@@Davbaldwin1 he got perfect weather and he took full advantage despite his obvious poor preparation. Let us see if he can make the US team in warmer conditions
