I choke on liquids atleast once a week. My family don't even do anything when it happens. I just put my hand up as a "don't worry, I can handle it." It scares new people all the time 🤣

Honestly when I drink something with whole ice cubes in, if a ice cube gets into my mouth before I put the glass down I just make it flow out of my mouth while still in drinking portion and once it’s out I then I put the glass down. To put it into other words, I make it look like I was still drinking but instead I was spitting the ice cub back into my glass. Like I have been doing that for years and no one has noticed or pointed it out

This is why I always ask for a straw. I don't care if people think I'm childish; that way, the ice stays in the glass where it's supposed to be, keeping my drink cold, and I don't have to deal with it. (Plus it ultimately melts, which gives you that little bit of extra liquid.)
