rincewind81pl There's so few true "fighters" left in the UFC anymore, everyone is just an athlete that can do MMA. The fact that Rousey/Holm is the main event of a pretty big show just shows what the UFC has turned into. A guy like Conor will get people excited and talking about the UFC again, like they were when they hit the mainstream around 10 years ago. You can have fighters wear suits and act classy all you want, but at the end of the day, they're still two guys fighting in a cage.

ouncy lol, ive been watching since the 90s. I know guys like Sonnen came before him, but McGregor is who keeps me interested. I've missed about 30-40% of the main events in recent years, but watched all of McGregors conferences and fights
you can say its funny, entertaining, etc. but conor means what he says and says what he means. he is one of the realest fighters in the ufc. he will always be there.

Thats the first time i've seen Conor rattled. He was actually angry after the altercation. Usually he is all smiles and relaxed after that shit. He was heated. I think he saw aprehension in Aldo's eyes last time because Jose knew he was hurt and couldnt be 100%. Now theres no fear and Conor actually has to fight an elite fighter who can do more than just takedowns like Mini Mendes.
I think Conor will beat him in the stand up. Mendes mauled Aldo, and Conor TKO'd him. Aldo hasn't finished a fight in ages. Conor's the king of knockouts in the FLW division.
All Seeing Conor hasnt fought an elite fighter. Conor cant wrestle Aldo like Mendes did. Aldo is gonna love Conor standing with him. Line up any of Conors opponents with Aldo and he'll take them out too. ALdo doesnt lose fights and he sure as fuck doesnt get knocked out. Conor is not elite in my eyes. He's a fantastic striker but beating Mendes on a short notice camp doesnt impress me too much. Mendes is a gatekeeper.

I think you should watch Aldo and Conor's feet. It doesn't look like Conor was pushed back. He pushed off with his front foot to put distance between him and Aldo; and Jose's right hand instantly comes up and his left foot drives back like he was ready to punch. Call me crazy, but it looks to me like Jose was getting ready to throw a punch or maybe shove Conor, and Conor saw it and moved back. Especially considering that Aldo said weeks ago that he would welcome a pre fight brawl.

I've been a Connor Mcgregor fan since he started in the UFC but I'm curious how'd it be if he were to get beat. I'd want to see his reaction but at the same time I feel as if he will win by the 3rd round.
He's simply not won enough to justify running his mouth to this extreme level. He is a genuinely obnoxious character or so he appears, but it's also because of the role as villain why this fight has probably attracted more attention than any other fight in a very long time. I understand conner has to hype the fight up and I do enjoy watching it but at the same time I feel a great champ like Jose deserves so much more respect, even the fighters looked like they felt a bit bad for him.

There was a time when I liked Conor but as of late i'm starting to wish he gets flattened out horribly if only to teach him to become humble. I'm not too sure Aldo can lay the devastating KO punch but he will definitely get sparked in the 155 division and I for one will jump for joy when the inevitable happens. The sooner he moves up the better. lights out for you Conor and will be followed by a smile on my face.

I predict, if Cerrone wins on Saturday, McGregor will fight him at 155 for the title next and Aldo's last hurrah will be the rematch vs. Edgar for Conor's vacated title at 145. If Dos Anjos wins Saturday, McGregor will give Aldo a rematch or the UFC will insist on Conor vs. Frankie Edgar (maybe flip a coin).
