Are shoulder shots/strikes allowed in Muay Thai? A video on set ups and counters would be nice ! Thanks

@@jav.angel1205 a second step and leanback would probably be the least difficult, but Conor cut that angle off as Cowboy got his back closer to the cage, you can trip the planted leg which is probably the most difficult counter. In Muay Thai, the teep beats everything, breaking the combination on the cross setup would be the first opportunity, teeping during the kick would have been the second opportunity.

@@jav.angel1205 yes shoulder strikes are allowed in Muay Thai (unless you are fighting for weird sanctioning bodies outside of Thailand, always check whenever there is a different sanctioning body in place)

It's definitely hard to avoid both without at least taking damage on the arm.

I actually watched quite a bit of the behind the scenes and podcasts leading up, Conor's mind was very strong and I expected Conor to finish Cowboy, but definitely not that quickly and not in that fashion.

Brilliant that you used Regian Eersel's knockout as a companion to analysing the Conor head kick. Saw so many people referring to the fact that Conor didn't catch Cowboy clean, but here you have the same scenario with Regian. Stephen Thompson has a similar knockout, although from orthodox.

There's also examples of high kicks going right through a tight guard, even when the opponent blocks the kick with his arm it has the potential of doing damage. I appreciate your feedback 🙏

@Rylee Summers people have a hard time imagining that someone outside themselves can be great and do multiple things very well. It all stems from insecurity.

@Abdi Omxr it's sort of a hybrid, his swagger and the way his body whips is more like karate, but he still throws a good amount of power from the hip and tries to land with the shin like a Thai boxer

@@tdm2384 that is an excellent idea. I should reach out to him about his S&C regimen, his conditioning is very impressive, I have never seen someone sustain that much explosive energy throughout all five rounds before.
