As someone with a fear of heights, this video made my palms sweat SO badly

I'm afraid of humans. they are some scary beings. like yesterday, one came up to me and asked what gum I was chewing. :(

My brother is also afraid of heights so he would literally pee his pants if he was in this situation. But I also have a stupid fear. Me, someone with no emotional reaction to horror and never wakes up if I fall asleep. Darkness. I'm afraid of the dark. To the extent to where even as I'm typing this comment out I'm getting anxious. AND the word dark stresses me out.

I'm terrified of heights, even looking up at a tall building makes me wanna just sit down and die. This video showed me that you should try and face your fears even if you don't want to or your too scared to.

I never used to be scared of airplanes until TURBULENCE!! And the fact that my eye feels like it's being stabbed when we're landing.

My class trip in fourth grade was to Stone Mountain, the largest mound of granite. It was located somewhere in Georgia. They only had four floors, but the fourth one was closed because somebody had fallen off. I went through all three floors that were open like a freakin’ champion and it only took about an hour. Also, I couldn’t and still can’t do monkey bars to save my life. My palms just start sweating and I have no grip strength. I like those courses though because it feels like I’m doing parcore and I love it.

I am also terrified of heights. When I was 9, I went to a basketball game and after I saw how high our seats were, I cried the entire game.

As someone afraid of heights, I had 17 heart attacks just imaging this

I’m not exactly afraid of heights, but rather the journey getting up to those heights that freaks me out. Me and my family had gone hiking and were atop some pretty cool cliffs, not sure exactly how high but pretty high. Not like a mountain or anything though (but I did go to a mountain once, though horrible view cause a cloud was passing through, yay…) and I was fine. Got a picture sitting at the edge and continued on. On the other hand, there’s a pretty good sized tree at a lake where I sometimes go swimming and wood was nailed to it to act as a ladder. There was one specific branch people would jump off of for fun and I couldn’t get up to it. At all. I’ve tried a few times but each time I only get about half way, I can’t bring myself to keep going.

Same. I went on the sky deck on the 103 floor of the Willis tower in Chicago and almost fainted. I despise heights with every cell of my body.

I have 3 Phobias (sadly) but my phobias are Claustrophobia (only around a big crowd) , Ligyrophobia (fear of loud noises), and Scopophobia. Thank You for making videos!!

My fear of heights is very specific. I'm not scared of heights, I'm scared of faulty things around me that would lead me to falling. So I'm cool with being in tall buildings and looking over the hedge, but I'm scared of the window breaking or the railing breaking LOL

The beginning is a reference from the beginning of Mega-mind.

Well, I did have a fear of the dark, but singing helped me get over it eventually, and I used, still sometimes do, sneak around in the dark to get food, and I had a fear of a disembodied face. Just red cat like eyes and a mouth with shark teeth floating, but I decided to draw it and make him a character, so I was able to get over that fear. Also fear of abandonment, but I got over it at some point. I think it was recently this year I got over it.

One of my classes had a field trip where we fell from *60* feet in the air. Shit was terrifying, and I love heights.

I went on a backpacking trip with my boy scout troop. We went to an abandoned railroad. We came to a bridge that had a drop of over 500 feet. There was a grate path beside the tracks, and it was like walking on glass!! Others were hopping across like it was nothing while I was slowly going across and crying. What made it worse was that we had to go across for a second time to get back.

My story is that im also terrified of heights (yet to conquer it) but there was this tall jumping gym I went to with my friends. There was like this obstacle ON THE ROOF AND WAS LIKE 50ft HIGH!!! I was forced to do it by my parents (not my dad bribing me with icecream even tho I’m lactose intolerant) I did it and barely survived my mom on the other hand- Um well let’s just say she has the same fear and didn’t make it… the whole way it was a amazing experience helped with my fear but I’m still scared of heights tho

Interesting and cool vid. I also have a fear of heights. I’ve been on a Ferris Wheel not that big of one but it was still high and it stops when you get to the top and then it continues again. Also I’ve been on airplanes and don’t mind them but taking off when your ears pop. Also I think I was going to go zip-lining because of some thing in was in or something; I can’t remember but I decided not to because it was high.

A year ago I went Zip Lining with my fraternal twin sister Alyssa in Tennessee and at first I was a little nervous but after I did the first one I got excited it was really fun.😎👍

There's something like this in my city. I went there for my birthday. At the end, you have to slide down a pole but it's like 50 feet in the air and the guy who was up there took like 10 minutes while all of us were snapping our necks to watch him

Dude- when you said you were falling and THEN you said that y’all had safety belts on- I was honestly thinking you were gonna say you ending up falling on a branch and breaking a leg and arm- Also, this brings me back to school camp a few months ago where we had to climb a tree (that had like these tiny TINY steps on them-) and then just jump off (with a safety belt which was supported by other students holding it ofc-)

I was doing an obstacle course around 75 feet in the air as well and, I didn't know that we were supposed to tight the rope all the way. So, there was a tight rope and I basically was balancing on it. Got a couple of steps too before I was dangling bellow the tight rope.

On a school trip one in year 6 i had to go on a 4 STORY HIGH zipline and the wholle way there i was ltterly in bloody tears and IT WAS THE BEST THING IN THE WHOLLE FRICKIN UNIVERSE

It's called a high ropes corse. I conquer my fear of heights on one too. My friend told me to pretend heights don't exist. I managed to persuade myself heights don't exist. It was fun after that

Yea, I have a ridiculously similar acrophobia (fear of heights) that also happens to only kick in when I'm what feels like some 50-60-maybe 70 feet in the air, and it isn't that bad unless there is an easy way to die from fall damage. I *was* also arachnophobic, but it's not as bad now, so now the spooder just has to either be on me, or be ridiculous in size (which still isn't very big since I live in NJ, USA so I still look stupid when a spooder manages to get big enough or get on me). For a while I had the classic childhood fear of nyctophobia too-the fear of the dark or the fear of what lurks in the dark (I had the actually scary one of fearing what lurked in the dark, yaaayyyy ;-;). The wierd thing is tho, I got over it in the strangest way where I just had a sudden breakthrough that I could practically see in the dark (heightened senses led to powerful hearing and fast readjustment to the dark-among other things-so when the lights went out, others needed minutes while I was getting around just fine in mere seconds. I'm now over my nyctophobia completely and consider myself one with the darkness (I don't care what you think, I like the sound of that!) I still have a decently persistent fear of death (sorry, don't know the name), so I'll evade most situations that end with me getting hurt badly so I don't die some painful death. Strangely, this fear only really became *apparent* and not simply automatic after a long depressive episode during Covid-the episode lasted all through the pandemic, started slightly before when it was simply an epidemic (when it was thought to only last two weeks), and persisted for a while after the pandemic as well. I was almost extroverted and could last a long time in social places, but I'm now much closer to ambiverted (but it's closer to introverted, as I now prefer more time alone than usual). I've also remained fairly "hollow" or "blank" but it's not an "I feel nothing, misery is my strongest emotion-alongside rage" but instead much closer to a "I feel very little, and being angy is still my strongest emotion, but I don't get sad, and I'm not very exitable unless my ADHD kicks in. This is fine, I guess..." I essentially feel much less than I did prior, but I still feel, just not as distinctly. Anyways, I think the fear of death thing popped up as a side effect of suicidal thoughts during my two or three year depression (which *might* have been in two parts, but I'm not very sure thanks to my terrible memory, so... believe it if ya want to). Anyways, rant over, um... I guess, Adam/SomethingelseYT-if you happen to be reading this, I get your acrophobia, and it's pretty common among phobias (one of the most common, in fact!) so I guess it's pretty normal. I mean, for all I know, you and I could be on opposite sides of the frikkin Atlantic Ocean right now and we happen to have one of the same fears-out of your one strong fear and my several weaker fears (Seriously tho, only my acrophobia is as strong as yours, everything else isn't that bad, so I'm fine, it just causes a typical nervous lapse in thought where you just *do* without thinking, I'm rarely debilitated by spooders or risk of dying-although I still avoid death risks like a sensible madman that I am... unless I *really* wanna do whatever it is that has said risk. Anyways, I mainly got better-ish through exposure to spooders and darkness, so that *should* help if you just slowly increase the height and have a handrail, and at some point remove the handrail by going places that don't have one. If that doesn't help, sorry, but it's all I got...
