How do i know which point I have to load? As far i know we have to place the load at the critical point, how do we know that? here you just placed the load at a random position

If we want to check the entire length, do we have to apply load on each point along the cross section length, let suppose i have 60 m long crane girder and 10 frame do i have to put load in the middle and end of each frame or just one?

Normally you need to place the crane load at the critical position only. There are several ways to find the critical position: can be by normal engineering practice like place at the middle. In more complex cases the built-in function of influence lines can be used. By using this function, Consteel can position the load automatically to reach the maximum values of selected internal forces. The third option is to create blindly several copies of the crane load but each time with a slightly different position along the beam and make the envelope calculation. This is a bit of brute-force approach to find the critical positions. These load case copies can be made automatically by Consteel. Once the critical position has been found, these additional load cases can be deactivated.
