Ha, that screwdriver looks like just what I've wanted. I jumped to buy one as soon as I saw the ad, now back to finish watching the video.😂 Update: I got the driver and I like it, but it's not really tool box worthy. It feels good and would be good to have around the home or in an office drawer (unless you're good at making some kind of pouch or holder for it). The cap comes off easy. Mine fell off in my garage and bounced somewhere, I couldn't find it! 😅 I'll be conducting a thorough search today!

Pro tip. Slice a tennis ball, approximately 3/5 around the outside. Then you can squeeze it open, like an old school coin purse, and put screws, bolts, notes, etc. inside it and toss it to your partner. Makes it a lot easier to send up small parts, etc.

@oneeye6127
@oneeye6127 2 месяца назад
Guys, you don't need "200' of hose" for volume, just build an auxiliary tank, out of an old propane tank, to plug inline closer to where you need it. Also, if constructed correctly, turn it into a manifold for up to 6-8 lines. We used to use 6" galvanized pipe, with capped ends, and welded rebar on both sides of the manifold air fittings, to protect them from people stepping on them.
@RayJones-PBB
@RayJones-PBB 2 месяца назад
You probably just gave Jaime an idea🤣
@djrenault
@djrenault 2 месяца назад
yep, a big length of hose is just a big pressure drop and very little storage. 200 feet of 3/8 ID hose is 0.000179 gallons a 20lb propane tank is 4.7 gallons. you want the shortest reasonable hose run to get the most power out of it.
@davegouldinonley
@davegouldinonley 2 месяца назад
And another related "pro tip" is to change all your fittings to 3/8 instead of the commonly used 1/4. Then you don't have other trades' guys on the site asking to borrow/break your tools or compressor or hoses because all your stuff is different from theirs.

As a roofer from Northern Pennsylvania when we sheet the roof we yell down to the cut man factory left or factory right so they know what side to cut from. It's a little fast than drawing it out. But the more complicated cut it's fast to just draw them out with the numbers on the drawing.. BTW love the videos..

They make engineered truss joists where the last 4 feet or so is a regular I joist. That way you get the benefit of the open web design of a truss joist but the I joist end can be cut in the field. That would help with those alignment issues! Look up triforce joists

Not only does the laminating of the Hard and the soft steel make the sharpening faster and easier. It also actually reinforces it because hard metals are brittle. This is a technique that goes back to the Japanese katana. You can also see this in Japanese chisels for example, where one edge bottom is hardened, and actually hollowed out where the rest is soft mild steel.

Fun fact: Laminated plane blades date way back to the 19th century advent of high carbon blade steel in England and Scotland... Blade steel was new and hella expensive, so was laminated to soft steel and ground to size. There are still many examples that crop up with antique tools in the tool collectors market, particularly with fine plane makers such as Norris of Scotland.
