Verizon and I are getting divorced after over twenty years together. They increased my bill over $20 in the last two months. This video was very helpful . Thank you!!
That was a great description for me. I'm considering changing from high priced Verizon. I was referred to consumer cellular by a friend that is happy with it.
Thank you! As a "newby", i really appreciate your taking time to clue me in on what I need to know. I want to try Consumer Cellular because I have had a recent 18% surprise increase in my current carrier's bill (that was already too high), and they aren't interested in making any adjustments. Accessing their customer service is a terrible experience, and their signal in our neighborhood it really weak. THanks again for the heads up!
Thank you for the great information on Consumer... we're long term customers and I've noticed a price creep over the past couple of years with the recognized extra cost when traveling abroad but over all just more expensive for the same previous service! Being a senior, they do give a discount through AAARP but just for the exercise I will check with other carriers that have a seniors plan. That would be a good subject to cover!😊
I believe they are only grayed out when your current usage is already above those plan amounts. If you currently have already used 1.1gb, you can’t select the 1gb plan. Thus it would be grayed out. At the beginning of next cycle, before you have used 1gb, you would be able to select that plan.
AARP has been promoting Consumer Cellular. I think AARP should show all the options available. I my area Visible by Verizon would be a better option. AARP doesn't tell their members about Visible by Verizon because they didn't pay to advertise with AARP.
Sort of… their unlimited data plans, reduced high speed data after 50GB of use. After that it will be slowed down until the next month. So no, not really.
@@JustMyTooSense thanks for the reply. I’m with xfinity mobile currently but I was thinking of trying consumer cellular for a hot sec maybe like a yr or two.
@@JustMyTooSense it's not quite that simple. The company buys their service from both AT&T and T-Mobile. These providers dictate what features they can offer to customers. The only way they can offer international service is off the T-Mobile network. That being said, the service T-Mobile provides is, in my opinion, criminal. The "service" is quite literally the very last option you should seek out. Charging people .25c per gigabyte used has not nor will it ever be explained to the point where its understandable. Especially in 2023 🤦♂️ I worked for this company for 2 years. Trust me when I tell you, the compassion shown to the customer, is not even slightly reciprocated to the working staff. New hires are told ad nauseum that the company doesn't care about anything unless customer service comes first. Admirable at face value. Can't deny that. But let's call it for what it is. If you have ever tried to teach a senior citizen how to use a smartphone for the very first time , you know how difficult this can be..... now imagine you're teaching that same person, but you have no way of ever knowing what they're looking at on their phone. This is what working at Consumer Cellular Is like. Now, common sense would dictate that with the amount of time spent on calls like the one I mentioned, would result in the company understanding if you don't meet Calls Per Hour quota ( this is a STRICT guideline). Nope. Not Consumer Cellular. If you don't help enough people per hour, there isn't a review of your work. There's no one to point out that while you didn't hit their quota, you went above and beyond for every customer... This actually forces people to rush the target demograpnic off the phone when they don't sound sure of what they're doing... If someone can make this make sense, I'd love to hear it 😂
Worst company every, they turned. Off two of my lines and would not prorate the difference even though they made the mistake . They also where supposed to change my due date and completely didn’t do there job on that simple task! Who is training these people? They need to be fired if they can’t follow simple directions.. This is part of your daily routine did you not pay attention in class before they put you on the floor to help customers?
