Join me on my first ever video just covering my containers!! I love to talk in detail about all of my plants, what they are, how I got them, how they are doing, etc... Putting all of my containers in one video and focusing only on them allows me to talk about all those details! In this video, I talk about some annual containers that turned out amazing, my prized Desert Rose and how to collect seeds and grow them from seed, many Zinnia containers, and how I have propagated my Limelight and now my Little Lime Hydrangeas! Also, I talk about how you could tree form an inmature Limelight Hydrangea, since mine is showing me that I could easily do so right now if I desired!

I enjoyed the container video separate. Love all of your containers, but the Desert Rose is absolutely gorgeous! This inspires me to propagate more of my plants! Thank you for sharing God’s beauty in your container garden! ❤

Thank you for your encouraging feedback Lana! Propagating plants in many cases is so easy, it just takes patience to wait for their root systems to develop! But it's such a great way to fill your garden with more plants and/or give them to friends!

Beautiful containers and plants, They are the bees knees. We are waiting on our containers of agapanthus, daylilies, asiatic lilies, calla lilies, hebes and fuchias to bloom. The rest of the containers are in full bloom which include Ice plants, African daisies, alstromerias, salvias, sage caradonna, coreopsis, phygelius, astilbe, campanula, asters, hostas, parahebes, alpines and snap dragons.

I like the container video being separate. I’m so curious about how you are propagating in the concrete container…you took cuttings BEFORE that particular hydrangea was in bloom, and then hardened them off before putting in soil, is that right? Could you take cuttings while it is in the growing season? You’ve seriously got me thinking about how I could propagate one that I have.

Thank you for your feedback! I will be keeping the containers in a separate video from now on! The concrete planter... I prune my panicle hydrangeas in late winter/early spring. So, here in North Texas, around late January/February. Those cuttings from pruning I set aside and just leave them outside hanging out on my patio for about two weeks. After two weeks, I put them in the soil in my concrete planter. Just stick them in. Then I just make sure the soil stay a bit moist. This spring they got a lot of water because of all the rain we had! Last spring they didn't get too much. Both times, I've been successful in that they will eventually start growing roots and leaves! About 20% success rate for me, maybe higher last year. One thing I learned NOT to do last year... when I saw that many of the sticks were growing leaves, I took them out of the concrete planter very early on and put them in their own nursery pot. For whatever reason, every single of them that I put in their own nursery pot died eventually. The ones I left in the concrete planter survived. So this year I am leaving them all alone and at the end of the season, in fall, I will be able to dig them up and transplant them where I want to put them! I did a video last November that talks about this whole process if you'd like to check it out! It's called "Dividing and Transplanting Limelight Hydrangea Babies!! How to Grow Baby Limelight Hydrangeas"
