Hi Casey, I’m also new to your channel. Can you advise where you bought your Osmacote pods? I purchase some this Spring, but they came from the U.K., and took forever to arrive, I thought if you purchased yours here in the states, maybe you wouldn’t mind sharing this with us? I’d like more, thank you so much for your wonderful advice on pinching back, my Coleus will appreciate it a ton!! I always heard to take out the flower spike, but never about the little buds, that is an awesome tip...lol no pun intended!!!
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm 5 лет назад
Lisa Broussard Januska Hi Lisa! Around here you can get the Osmocote anywhere. At a Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart or even online! I don’t know if you will be able to get it from any of those stores? It’s a very common addition to your garden around here, so it’s easy to get. I hope this helps you! Thank you so much for subscribing❤️🙏

The Lawrence Network Thank you for your quick response. I can buy the typical Osmacote graduals, but not the pods, are you referring to the pods, specifically?

What is the brand of the time release fertilizer you used? Do you also use it for the flower beds or just the pots? Thank you in advance. God bless.

Hi Wandy! I use Osmocote here's a link for it if you wanted to purchase some- amzn.to/2ugnB4K I only use it on flowering plants, I use it in pots and the flower beds. It's amazing! Let me know how you like it!
@wandygonzalez8078
@wandygonzalez8078 6 лет назад
The Lawrence Network . Thanks for your quick response. Almost at the end of the video you put in some bigger fertilizer. You said you will put like 6 or 7. You also said they were time fertilizers. Which ones are they? I did look at the site you sent me. But doesnt look like what you put at the end.
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm 6 лет назад
Wandy Gonzalez those were the time release cubes by osmocote. They’re the same thing as the granules but just in a cube shape. Those were used only Bc I just ran out of the granules. They work the same and when I start a container, I prefer the granules Bc the are evenly mixed into the whole container, rather than just a few spots. I hope this helps you!

so if you put in osmocote, do you still fertilize when you water?? i heard another person on another video about hanging petunia planters, say that you need to fertilize everyday... that seems a bit much.. and i do want bushiness :) so if i put in osmocote, how often do i use my jack's 20-20-20?
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm
@TheLawrenceGardenFarm 5 лет назад
MaBriz Use osmocote as your time release fertilizer, you still have to use your water soluble fertilizer on top of that every 7 to 10 days in the beginning. Once you get to the end of the season and things are really big and rooted, you’re going to want to do it every 4 to 7 days. This is because the roots become root bound, and they’re losing nutrients so by fertilizing more often you’re giving them those nutrients they need more often which helps them last longer. Osmocote is only going to work for up to three months, so Osmocote will also not be in action at the end of the season when you start upping your fertilizer. There are some people that will fertilize every single day, but from what I’ve seen, those people tend to use a very light amount of fertilizer mixed into their water. I’m not saying that what they are doing is wrong, I’m only here to share what I do. I show you what my baskets and containers and gardens look like throughout the whole season and by the end of the season, and I share with you the techniques that I use to get them there. It’s up to you to decide what method you would like to use. The method I use I’ve learned from a lifetime of growing up and working in my parents greenhouse business, and they are known for monster baskets! Thank you so much for watching, I hope I helped you and have a great evening!
