Listen, you shouldn't even have made this video spending your time giving those people air time. The sooner you don't concern yourself with what people say or think, the better you'll be. One thing is for sure is this, being in Florida, you won't have to be doing evacuations that they'll no doubt have to do. Trust me, society will eventually catch up with the concept of container homes and come to respect their durability. You're way ahead of the game. Keep on building.

My friend you have one of most hurricane and tornado proof home in the world as long as you don't cut off your roof. weld steel frame to support hurricane impact windows and doors. Thats one of the reasons I'm interested in them.

I lived in a shipping container building while stationed overseas. Had I not been told that they were repurposed containers; I would had never known. Screw haters! Most of them are complete debt slaves, living paycheck to paycheck or live in Mommy and Daddy's basement. Keep up the good work. I'm planning on purchasing acres and some containers this year. I will do 90% of the work myself (As I am a multi-trades, jack of all trades dude.)

Awesome! Yeah I visited the UK once and there's a food court called Box Park...had no clue the whole 2 story complex was made of shipping containers until a few years later when I started my own container home lol. And thats awesome you'll be doing your own container project. And I'm also glad you said acres (plural) -- I kinda wish I'd purchased a bigger lot.

Yup. Idk it's odd....over on TikTok there's a very tiny minority of haters attempting to point out really silly "flaws" in container homes. I won't deny that, like every structure, there are pros and cons....but I don't want to let straight up haters get away with their trolling....even though I probably shouldn't feed them 🤔

Good point ! I want to build a home like this, may I ask you what kind of materials are you planning to use for thermal insulation and what is the height measuring from finished floor to the top of a ceiling ?

From floor to ceiling is just about 8 feet. Thermal insulation will be a variety of insulation boards

@@thinkoutsidethecontainer I stay in a coastal area otherwise i just needed 4 containers 2 below 2 above stacked together and that's my dream home for life but now i have to still stick with the old skool method of brick and mortar. @@thinkoutsidethecontainer the environment is extremely salty, metals don't stand a good chance except you have to extra coat the metal sheets with some form of heavy duty anti rust and some weather proof paints.

People hate on what they don't understand. Remember when everyone hated on Netflix? Saying things like "it will never last, no one wants to watch videos using internet" etc. Now look at us, almost all viewing material is over the net. Watch how these container outlast traditional stick built; termite infested, dry rotted, homes. Shipping containers is the future, when it comes to building material. Get use to it people
