I’ve seen this judge several times and he is soooo slow to make decisions and pushes the matters out to future hearings. It seems like he’s waiting for another judge or magistrate to take over. I know he’s no longer in this position.
I’m just gonna say, my unpopular opinion is that slapping a child that is so seriously out of line and feels inappropriately powerful, that shouldn’t be a crime or considered wrong. Do you guys see the youth of today. They are lost and deeply unaware of consequences. We have become literally way too soft. Sometimes life comes down hard (within reason). Which I think this was.
Love everyone here putting this judge on blast. I've watched many cases that were before him. He usually puts his weight down when he feels as though the child is in danger but won't do much in the face of parents who use the court as a tool to get one over the other.
This judge reminds me of all the people who I've worked with over the years who don't pull their weight and everyone else has to work double time for them and for some reason you can't get rid of them.
💯 This judge is a waste of space. He is so easily swayed but bad arguments, and he is allergic to making decisions. I don’t know his background, but he is not fit for this particular job.
Also, at this point, I don’t believe it was dad playing games with the mail earlier. I believe it was her so she could hold him in contempt. Here she is again claiming they sent mail to the wrong address and she got nothing. And a summer activity is not a reward. It’s an activity you keep problem kids out of trouble.she’s got things all twisted.
He knows her address but month after month cannot get his child support check to her on time? Classic manipulation on his part. He doesn't want to pay it so why not make it as difficult as possible?!
He shouldn’t have hit her, but I 100% understand him yelling & disciplining her for acting like that & it’s not like he’s accused of abusing her. It seems like this was a one time incident and she probably acts that way because the mother doesn’t discipline her for anything.
Not that I'm supportive for it either, but I had a similar instance as a teenager where I called my mom a F**king B*tch during a very heated fight and she slapped me across the face. I think it surprised us both, both because I had never ever talked to my mom like that and because she had never once hit me (and never did again). It doesnt seem like it was a regular thing, but these 2 are so contemptuous it's hard to tell who isn't exaggerating the truth to make the other look worse while simultaneously downplaying their own issues.
So lemme get this right.... slapping your child's face after they run their mouth using explicit language in public is wrong? And ppl wond3r why the world is so effed up. If I had children you better believe they'd get disciplined just like i was growing up.
Fire the judge.. these kids let's b real kids b disrespectful and try to fight parents and kids will go along with mom just cause she thinks she will be able to do anything she wants then she gets home with mom she sees it ain't that way.. then she trys to fight mom.. ya all bad ...judge should of looked at how much bs this mom has done
I agree. It's very telling as to motivation and actual intent. She's insufferable and appears to be actually deriving pleasure through the court process and putting the screws to Dad whenever she gets the chance. She smirks and actually *smiles* as she describes why she's filing a contempt motion. The only time she's not been full of herself and stepped down off her high horse is when Judge Evans was resolving the order for CS to be collected through DCS and he questioned the worksheets and whether she objected to them. She had said at the time of the original order that Dad's attorney had come up with MORE child support with those worksheets than she had when she used the online worksheets to figure it. She wanted to move on quickly on that! And on the subject of CS, she was complaining because she received it on the 8th when it was due on the 5th and demanded that his late payment be addressed. 🙄 Dad shouldn't have slapped the daughter, but I think it's understandable why he might. Somehow I don't think the daughter was being sweetness and light and wonderful company then suddenly screamed at the girlfriend out of the blue, calling her foul names in the grocery store and probably not at low volume. I'm sure it was building and then when he tried to correct her verbally, it just got worse and he slapped her. That was bad enough (and it was bad), but the truly terrible part was that he slapped her again. No argument that he was wrong. For the police to not have a huge issue with it, though, speaks volumes and indicates that her contemptuous attitude wasn't only directed to her father and his partner and she must have given the officers a share as well. Dad was sufficiently punished and the daughter was appointed an attorney at taxpayer expense but she refused to cooperate and Mom just shrugged it off. She didn't really want an atty for her daughter, she was just being dramatic for the court and I think Ms Winkles had their numbers pretty quickly. And then there's the matter of her trying to gain control of both kids by simply taking the son during visitation and refusing to return him because she's representing herself and "poor, little ol' me didn't understand and thought I was supposed to". Riiight... And now Mom is trying to keep the son from participating in an activity that he enjoys and is good for him. She's a complete idiot! Her reasoning is that he was in trouble a couple of times at school MONTHS ago, so he should be punished now. Anyone with two brain cells knows that giving a boy a physical activity combined with fostering love for animals like the horses, etc involved in rodeo is an ideal way to foster *good* behavior and change attitude. She wants to punish him, but not for school suspensions and grades. She wants to punish him because he couldn't wait to get away from her and prefers his father to her. And, maybe, because he's a boy growing into being a man - like his dad. She complains Dad's trying to steal all her summer time with her son, then we learn it's two weekends. And that Dad has volunteered to take the boy to the events on those weekends AND give her make-up time! She's simply being her usual not-so-charming and vindictive self. The commentary is again overbearing and completely one-sided. Things had begun to move in a better direction as far as that was concerned, but now we seem to be right back to it. I laughed out loud at the ridiculously snarky comment that asked if the boy even wanted to do rodeo! 😂😂 Seriously?? Rodeo isn't a cheap hobby. Pretty sure if the kid wasn't interested, Dad wouldn't be spending the money. Why can't we just watch in peace... Oh, and what's up with the weird comment about Dad's atty looking young? Jealousy? What does that have to do with ANYTHING??!!
Seems like she can get time off for court appearances, but she can’t get time off for her kid. I get the restrictions, but I don’t think she’s being very cooperative.
She's a retail manager. It's probably a lot harder to get a full weekend off than a single weekday. She may have even been able to set up her typical schedule to have off on whatever day the docket is.
All she cares about is money and hurting the dad. She doesn’t care about her kids at all, she’s a pathetic excuse of a mother and doesn’t even deserve the title. I usually find myself mostly in agreement with your comments on the videos. But I'm struggling with this one The main issue I have with Dad is how he handled the discipline issue with his daughter. Not cool. He's been late with child support...although not okay to be late, Commissioner Nelson just granted support to Mom on a whim. No trial, no discussion before he said "Yeah it looks like Dad makes more. He's going to pay more ". This mother is manipulative and exaggerates grossly.
This is what happens when one parent doesn't act like an adult. Once the court is involved, everything is under a microscope. EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING becomes a court order when parents can't grow up and be good coparents for the good of their children.
Dad shouldn't slap the daughter! But she definitely shouldn't have been talking to anyone in that manner! She needed disciplined! But where are these kids learning these poor behaviors? My guess is mom! Daughter alienated completely from dad and mom is trying to beat son down because he loves dad. My opinion that's why he acts out. He needs activity not just negativity!
She’s making no sense with her argument that she works weekends. If she works weekend, why does her child have to miss out on rodeo because she’s at work? The dad said he would provide transportation. That is absolutely self-centered, selfish and ridiculous.
Mom is looking for the full child support payment. She is not satisfied with the difference payment she is receiving of $357 monthly, when she could get up to $1,100 monthly if she get primary & physical custody.
We’re now at the child’s rodeo activities for summer. Mom‘s refusal to support what her child wants to do with the summer leads me back to feeling her only reason that she tried to get full custody again. Why is money. Each time they speak, she keeps talking about getting more money.control the kids you control the money.
Im sorry....i disagree This Mom has been and continues to simply be difficult. She's filed multiple restraining orders that have been denied, brings Dad to court for contempt if he's 5 min late with Child Support....she always falls back on poor lil old me is pro se....etc.... She found it ok that her daughter call his wife the C word but wants tp punish the son because he has bad grades. Give Dad right of first refusal....that way if she has to work then the kids arent forces to spend time with her girlfriend.
Dad screamed at his daughter and slapped her in the face twice in public which was witnessed by independent individuals. I must have missed when she said she was okay with her daughter calling dad's girlfriend a name, but regardless that doesn't mean their son's poor grades shouldn't be addressed appropriately. As for the child support, he was six months behind on child support and late on payments which is not "five minutes late." That's unreasonable. He also is mailing checks to random places and not resending returned checks which makes it seem like he's purposely making it difficult for her to get the money. She needs to reliably have that money in her account to ensure their child is taken care of even if dad doesn't like how that child talks to his girlfriend. Maybe my opinion will change as I get further in the video, but right now it seems like she has plenty of reason to be "difficult."
@@tias2705 As to the child support: Dad asked for it to go through DCS office instead of going directly to Mom because some checks were being cashed while others weren't. Meanwhile, the checks were not being returned to Dad. Dad had to go to the bank in order to put a stop or cancel the check so that he could then he could make out another check to Mom. This time, Dad took the $1400 check to his lawyer for her to send it to Mom who still claims she didn't get it. There has been an issue with Mom's address for a while and she keeps bringing it up but never filed a updated address with the courts in order to clear up the issue. Because of this and some other issues, I'm lending more towards Mom being a problem. Dad has some issues as well.
How does that have anything to do with the dad slapping tf out of the daughter in her face in public? With witnesses? And since he clearly feels that is perfectly fine for public, guaranteed he's far worse at home. Also, there's likely a reason why his kids do not like his gf. If a mother had a partner she chose over the kids, y'all would crucify her.
The Dad clearly isnt “playing games” with the checks, 1. they showed proof he tried to pay it & 2. why would he do that, it just made it so he had to pay his lawyer more money to deal with it & had to pay her anyways
Mom. Controlling person. You do not take away time with dad or acrivities to punish. You take away devices. And as the judge said. Not months after the bad behaviour. It is her way or the highway and doing her best to punish everyone, including her children, if her will is not done. The father should have all say regarding their son. I believe firmly through all evidence provided that mom is the contributing factor for their sons issues. She will not relinquish control or allow dad to have anything to do with their children without her influence.
I dont really agree with your commentary this time. I think the mom is doing too much. I get its the law, but he shouldnt be having to pay child support either. The daughter decided to go live with the mom. Also the mom clearly didnt have a handle on things when their son was on probation. Also to hear the things the adult child said about the mother.. i think they shouldve called her as a witness to hear what she had to say.
That mother has her claws into the daughter very deep. Probably lets her get away with everything. She’s probably her friend and not a mother. You can just tell by what she called her father’s girlfriend. I bet she talks to her mother that way.
If you can’t afford to care for the kids give them to the father who can afford them. Child support is for absent parents, he’s not absent and she’s just broke and bitter. As soon as the judge starts talking about the $627.92 transfer amount I’m thinking the transfer i amount should be cut in half so each child has equal amounts.
Yesterday, I saw a different judge rule about a 16-year-old daughter who did not want to visit mom at all. He required the dad to force her to go with mom. You never know what the judges are going to decide.
This judge is famous for continuing cases, rarely making a solid decision. Only once did he make an immediate ruling, It was against a mother who was using fentanyl.
I'm curious that mom continuously throws son under the bus when her daughter was getting D's in class then calling dad's gf a C**t but no counseling for her? She constantly brought up negative statements about her son and never not once called out her own daughter! She better hope her son doesn't see this video cause if I were her son I'd record her every move to expose her fake narrative!

Dad's attorney talks FAST. I do think both parents can be an issue, I think mom is the bigger issue here. Also, if you want to keep your kid out of trouble mom, you keep them busy in extra curriculars. She is using punishment as an excuse to wiggle out of participation in his events so she can either work or do stuff with stepchild.
I don’t care for this judge. I feel like around the zoom court era he must’ve been close to retirement because no one continues a case like him. Also, my opinion is that he’s very mom-leaning in his cases.

About a third of the way through, I’m being to understand why the father hired an attorney. At this point, it seems, as many women do, she is playing games with her kids. If she gets custody of both kids the money will come rolling in.
I’m sorry, but this woman is a witch. I’m dealt as a child with people like this not my mother but mothers like this. Why isn’t anyone listening to the 21 year-old daughter who says the mother is an alienating person who tries to keep the other parent away from the children. All I see is her trying to get money, even though she has responsibility for one child and he has responsibility for one child. I don’t agree with that. She shouldn’t get extra money she wants extra money for it, and this is coming from a person whose mother was a single mother, whose father decided he didn’t want to pay child support until I was in college. She can do it on her own just like most women if they want to be away from the family, they should take full responsibility for their own, kids bills stop whining to the court
Sorry someone (a judge) should comment that it’s pretty pathetic that the parents of kids that are this old still can’t get it together to agree on extracurricular activities when there is no danger to kids.
It often stems from 2 things: 1) just being difficult because you're mad at the other parent and want to make them miserable and 2) having fundamentally different views on the purpose of extracurricular activities. Eg, my wife and I (not divorced) completely disagree on extracurriculars. She views them as a nice/fun thing to be able to do. I view physically demanding team sports that risk injury as a non-negotiable requirement in a proper upbringing.

I mean Captain Continuance utters the statement of "I think that is a very good question", I feel like someone cleaned up after him for something he totally forgot about rather than planned for. It makes me glad he's retired, because it feels like he took things very lightly a lot of the time. "Oh, it is the pro se docket, so I can slack off" type attitude. I'm sure it isn't like that, but that's just the vibe I get from him after seeing so much of him.

Mr. C can afford a lawyer, bc he hasnt paid his child support. There aught to be a law for mothers or fathers who arent up to date and should have to represent themselves in family court

@@stephrocksm4352 child abuse is defined by physical discipline that leaves visible marks for longer than 24hrs. Not saying 1 way or the other if smacking a child is best parenting but legally it is not abuse until it reaches that level of physical harm. Also, smacking a dog is also not animal abuse in some forms for instance a smack on the dogs butt.
