"The Spread Gun (S), also known as Spread, Spread Shot, Spray Gun or Shot Gun, is a power-up that enables to shoot in three to five different directions at the same time and in a spreading manner. It is semi automatic, but starting from Contra III it became capable of fully automatic fire (although still slower compared to the Machine Gun). Since many projectiles usually hit the target at once, it can be considered to relatively deal high damage. Up-close firing results in multiple hits in a single shot, a desired quality when handling bosses."

Sorry but are you poor? This game came out in 1987, 90's games are more like Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or Super Mario 64. And if you were born in the 90's you should have played 2000's games when you were young.

I can beat it easily and sometimes without lives loss. Pretty simple game if you get into it.

I remember my brother would always play it and he would restart the game if he died. So he got really good and he would beat it multiple times without dying. The thing is that he would get angry if he died. I too can beat the game multiple times without dying because of watching him and learning from that. However, i haven't been able to beat the games without dying while using other guns other than the spread shot.

Everybody give this guy the attention he so clearly craves please.

Contra's difficulty is heavily overrated. The game is actually pretty easy unlike some other NES games like Ninja Gaiden.

I beat the game in a month when i was 6-7

if i was 5 and got to the final boss it would scare the hell out of me, looking at the 1st phase would probably make sense.

W White yeah i beat the game and I didn’t remember that cutscene but one responder said it’s the Japanese version so mystery solved. But if you notice the short victory music after beating the boss is even different. The American version feels happier whilst the Japanese version is more mellow.

He says in the description it's the Japanese rom with a fan translation patch. That explains why the bosses die so quickly. This was pretty common for especially the US ports to cut content and bump up the difficulty.

100% right this is super easy mode, just few normal shots and boss is dead.

It totaly makes sense, as fights took way longer than this.
