I’ve been having a lot of fun with this game. I feel the same way about Neo Contra. Very underrated. Game is mad fun. But I agree, Neo and Shattered Solider should’ve gotten sequels
Haha true. It’s funny, I did know that it was pronounced “core” (not corpse) from watching so many RU-vid video reviews of the game in the past, I just had a total brain fart when making the video. I just rewatched this video and I cringed when I said corpse. Oh well lol, ya live and learn
Got this on the Steam Deck. One of many PS2 games I wanted to get into, but never got a chance to get until now. It’s crazy playing this on a handheld.
I liked the review with the background. But the game is a bit dull and joyless. None of the older Contras felt quite this hard or a chore to play. This one did. Maybe I need to check it out again?
Yea I like it, def not one of my favorites though, but I think it’s solid. It’s above average. I like Neo Contra better in terms of the PS2 games though
I just saw the trailer yesterday! Looks awesome! I’m praying they don’t drop the ball. At the same time, WayForward is making it and they made Contra 4 on the DS which is probably the last good game to come out for the series lol
@@ScoutimusPrimenow that the demo is out, what do you think? Looks cool imo, although I collect for the switch and that version looks a little rough lol
0:58 Not true. There was two Contra games that came out during that era. Contra Legacy of War came out PS1 and Sega Saturn and C The Contra Adventure came out on PS1.
This has to the worst structured Contra game. I'm amazed some of the fanbase speaks so highly of it while complaining about Hard Corps. Also, the start is a homage to Hard Corps with the character bursting out of the vehicle.
Hard Corps was hard as hell. I get the frustration. It’s a great game but still. I did notice the opening too lol. I found the game to be fun but didn’t have the same flow as the 8/16-bit games. I’m hoping the new one coming out soon will be different.
@@Bedlam83 l don't know what flow there is considering you have to repeat the exact same sequences over and over. There's also no saving, despite the length.
