Damn, this is amazing job. I know Grey Knights can be a bit of a pain because of the tint of shiny color from them, and their power weapons can be tough. Excellent job.

Ahhh, so that's what I was doing wrong. I was just going streight from the pot and expecting to go darker, when I should've been mixing some medium for the blade. Oh well, now I know! Thanks Warhipster!

Great guide, which I will be using to actually paint my grey, grey knight army. I would say that I much prefer the silver that you did in the other Grey Knights guide where you mixed stormhost silver and grey knights steel 50:50 and then painted that over the grey wolf contrast. These ones just look too silver to me where the other vid had the silver just right. If you like a more bluey silver armour check the crowe video as well at this one. Otherwise amazing 👏

I agree! I think the mix is defintely for a higher standard of bluish silver however here I was aiming for speed and simplicity. I think with this scheme you can get a lot done more quickly which is always a good thing!

I didn't think of using SW contrast. I'm not a fan of the Drakenhof wash that is commonly used. This looks much cleaner.

Hi! Thanks for all the work man. Just one doubt. Would Aethermatic Blue (without contrast medium) work with the blade and eyes rather than Talassar Blue?

Hi @warhipster - how do you thin your paints? Do you use a wet palette? It looks like with base paints you draw straight from the pot? How do you base coat? Spray can?Any advice would be much appreciated - thanks

Know this is a older video but if after the space wolves gray wanted to lean into the blueish steel re-layer the same way you did with IH Steel but with GK Steel subbed?

I’m a little lost on as to why go through all the trouble with painting on the GK Steel and Space Wolves Grey when you just cover it with Iron Hands. I’ve painted a terminator squad up to the point where I’m supposed to layer the IH Steel… but I don’t want silver Grey Knights, I already have those. Does the blue bleed through or something???
