Hey guys! I tried a different camera setup for this one which ended up being a little too close so apologies for anyone getting a little too acquainted with the hair patterns on my hands! Also forgive me for any paint names I butcher during this video!! Enjoy! Paints used are as follows; [Contrast] Wraithbone, Aethermatic Blue, Wyldwood, Plaguebearer Green, Snakebite Leather, Magos Purple, Basilicanum Grey & Creed Camo. [Drybrush] Ulthuan Grey, Gorthor Brown, Moot Green, Baneblade Brown, Elysian Green.

Usually I'm not too impressed with contrast paint schemes.. but this is awesome, I might have to try something similar. Great work!

Your tutorial is amazing! I am starting collecting Sylvaneth and I'm prepairing myself to paint them as good as I can so I'ts very very helpfull! But i have to ask about your base. Where are they from? They are not oryginally from a box right?
@tabletopandgaming
@tabletopandgaming Год назад
Hi, they are original from the box for warhammer underworlds.

definitely shines w/ "bumpy" models. Also, the drybrushing helps a lot

How did you get your base coat of Wyldwood to look so consistent? I’m currently attempting the scheme and seem to be getting a really patchy finish at that stage.
@tabletopandgaming

Just take care to get things well covered in one sweep where possible, it's a tricky balance between coverage and not going too heavy. Ensure the bottle is shaken well and you're using a decent sized brush for the main areas. Speed helps too to avoid accidently 'layering' over a bit you've just done.

Would you say using the Wyldwood scheme and the method of painting the bark with those wonderful 'green moss' drybrushing techniques work for the rest of the Sylvaneth (aka treelords, Dryads etc), looks fantastic!

Hi there, absolutely! You can see the work of some of our subscribers here who have used the scheme on a whole army - facebook.com/TandGProductions/posts/2597954207173955

With regards to Tree Revenants, would it be possible to keep the two body halves apart, paint them, then finish assembly?
@tabletopandgaming
@tabletopandgaming 11 месяцев назад
I've not worked with the full kits but sub-assembly should be doable with any gw kit.

Which models are these? They look like completely different models from my Tree Revenants. Mine came from the Vanguard box.

Awesome tutorial - probably gonna be the baseline for my entire army when I get going. Quick question; If you didn't have these bases included in the figurines, how would you go about basing, say, 30 dryads?
@tabletopandgaming
@tabletopandgaming 4 года назад
Thanks! One of the standard ones I tend to use is Stirland Mud with an Agrax wash, then drybrush some Baneblade or Gorthor Brown and use a tuft of your choice. You can see an examples of this in our Cadian painting tutorial. :)

Hi are u sure its wraithbone? Mine is more yellowish than yours. It looks more like grey seer?
@tabletopandgaming
@tabletopandgaming 4 года назад
Hi there, that's the daylight bulbs making it look lighter than it is but as a general rule I use wraithbone for living models and grey seer for undead/constructs!

Cool video, but it was a little bit to fast. Would have liked a slower tempo while showing what you have done. It was so shaky, was hard to see the details. Otherwise i liked it very much, thanks for that nice vid
@tabletopandgaming
@tabletopandgaming 4 года назад
Feedback is always good thanks, still getting to grips with how to film these right. It's filmed on a fixed camera so can you let me know what was 'shaky' for you?
@officerlogan
@officerlogan 4 года назад
@@tabletopandgaming Well you turned the mini in your hand after applying a color. And the turning of the mini was too fast for me so it felt shaky. Not the camera, but the mini was shaking. I guess you sped up the turning, maybe dont do that or slow down while turning. While watching your vid it felt like you were rushing through the vid. I would like to see the results a bit longer.
