THANK YOU. You make the best modular videos that I've seen so far. You're great at explaining things simply and straightforward. You should have more subscribers & and more views. subbed
Thank you for the kind words. There are other videos I’d like to make, but they’re a huge PITA to make and nobody is paying for it. And my cell phone keeps overheating during filming, which doesn’t help.
Why this module doesn’t have dedicated CLK input I’ll never understand... hopefully a future firmware update can allow override of Time/CV input as clock
I just purchased a new Control Forge. haven't gotten in the mail yet..probably sometimes next week..can i assume it will have this particular firmware already since this Video is already over 4 years old?
Probably. But even if you somehow scored a unit that has been sitting at the back of a shelf for years, I don’t recall the firmware update process being arduous.
@@MartinDoudoroffLLC Thanks for your reply. I really look forward to using this in my small modular setup. If i have any questions, can i contact you? is that ok?
if i feed the Control Forge with 1 trig/gate at 150BPM (like you explained, on the one), but set the internal tempo to 120BPM and set the time value(s) to e.g. 1/2 notes, will the stages be 1/2note of 150BPM or 120BPM?
In your scenario, CF is thinking in 120BPM (or whatever you dial in on the settings menu), thus the length of the stages will be 1/2 note at 120BPM. The trig/gate you send into CF is essentially a reset, nothing more. CF will not follow your trig/gate like a tap tempo.
