I read some lore before this part of the game that explained the equipment around the control points supposedly stabilize the point causing fewer building shifts. Also, speaking on what the shimmer is, it reminds me of the Quantic Dream game “Beyond: Two Souls” and how the girl had a spirit that gave her abilities and she could communicate with psychically

It feels more like Ahti knows where to scratch the house to get the back leg going. He isn't 'in charge' but he knows the Oldest House and it's foibles so well that when he says something, the Director would be an idiot to ignore his wisdom.

Hearing them mention IT made me think of a mod I just ran across for RE2 that I want them to play so badly. Imagine Andy running through the station being pursued by Mr. Pennywise while carnival music plays in the background. It's more terrifying than it sounds. There would be much singing of fear.

I believe perkele used to be a name for a god or a spirit of thunder in the finnish folklore. As christianity spread troughout finland the meaning of the word changed to something like "demon" or "devil"... Anyhow I think it's a pretty funny word and I wouldn't consider it a very bad swear word. It's usually transtaled to "damn" or "dammit". It's something you say when you drop your toast on the floor buttered side down. :I

Just beat Control and it really was a crazy beast of a game.. Enjoyed it and the ending was something else.. I was very Impressed... Can't wait for the new modes and DLC..

I'm so glad this game is a success for them. I absolutely loved playing through the original Max Payne back in the day. I had never played anything quite like it. It was really kind of ahead of its time, just like Control is pushing boundaries now, like with physics gameplay and a couple other areas to a lesser extent.

Their situational awareness is hilarious at times...they didn't clock the Hiss-Controlled floaters staring *directly* at them as they observed the Directorial Override for the first time. I noticed them and nearly shit my pants.

FYI - you don't need to look for stuff to throw, if you just press the launch button Jesse will just telekinetically rip up a bit of floor/wall/ceiling and throw that. It's even more badass.

The Federal Bureau of Control in Control is actually based on a fictional organisation known as SCP (Secure, Contain, Protect) that deals with weird happenings and objects around the world and puts them into containment. (there’s an entire site on the internet- the SCP wiki- about this for more detail). I actually only just found this out, so I thought I might as well share it with you guys ☺️

I'm loving this playthrough/game! I know it has a lot of obvious homages and people have compared it to everything, but it also reminds me of Legion on FX and Wolfram & Hart from Angel. So stylish, and the gameplay looks very fun. Can't wait to play myself.

The inner monologue is a little controversial, but I think it's pretty cool as long as she's not giving you a whole speech every 10 minutes. Just a few sentences here and there is better than long breaks that take people out of the game. Plus I like how it's an interesting way for her to "talk" to us through talking to herself. If we all actually heard what each other were thinking, many people would think many of us are nuts!

Floating enemeies are good at dodging, but its on a cooldown. shoot them/throw something at them to get them to dodge once, and then chuck something at them before they can react the a second time.

They just occasionally do lets plays, it's not like that's all they are doing now though, because they have the one off game play videos as well, if it's a game they like they'll do it, I think Blair Witch is getting one because it's a pretty short game and it kind of leads in nicely to halloween season.
