Wildfires, which is largely where the control burn concept came from, are natures way! Control burns ate used in a variety of ways from prevent out of control widespread fires some caused by natural occurrences such as lightning strikes and others by carelessness and still others done on purpose. Control burns are used in fighting wildfires even-fire breaks and removing fuel. But all to often facts are irrelevant when people let emotions rule or have an agenda.

Yes. We have brush fires and forest fires here in North Carolina but they usually don't get very big and that's due to the US and State Forest service doing controlled burns every year. they just recently did one not far from where I live.

A fire extinguisher would be useless in this situation you’d runout of pleated or powder before you made it far the leaf blower he uses is the best tool for this kind of burning

Makes lots of sense. Do some research on how fire benefits and rejuvenates a forest. The wildfires in CA and out west are the result of Mother Nature taking care of herself when humans think they are smarter than her... or when misguided emotion based thinking and policies meet reality.

It makes all the sense, it helps with wildlife, tree growth and it helps prevent uncontrolled wildfires by using a controlled prescribed burn to rid ole ignition fuel sources, you use several factors also, location, weather and type of vegetation, some trees and shrub have a highly flammable chemical compound that is just a natural fire hazard the right combination of all and you got yourself a uncontrolled wildfire.

Was going to say what the first 2 commenters said but they seem to have it handled....but yes please do a little research and youll see that this is a wonderful tool.....we need this kind of information to be dispersed amongst people who dont know any better to stop the spread of demonizing things like that due to ignorance on the subject
