In this Constitutional Law Matters video, Mark Elliott explores the Miller I case, in which the UK Supreme Court held that the UK Government could not trigger the Brexit process under Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union until authorised to do so by Act of Parliament. Professor Elliott considers the differing views of the majority and dissenting Justices and examines why Miller I is seen by some as a controversial constitutional case.

Since 1986, the enactment and constant amendments of legislated instruments has facilitated an out of control demonstration of misfeasance in public office.
