The biggest weakness of the inverted blower is that you still turn around to look at where the snow is going, but you're driving forward. With a conventional blower you face the direction that you are moving at all times. Also, maybe not an issue for everyone, but conventional can handle more snow with less mess

If your moving snow commercially, your not worried about moving a lot of snow because your out every 3-5cm.. and if you get a good back up camera and set your mirrors up properly.. your not turning around to look as much as you'd think

A really great setup is a front blower with a rear blade. Advantages: 1. You spend the majority of your time driving (and blowing) forward - it’s faster and you’re not craning your neck. 2. you aren’t driving over the snow before blowing it. 3. The rear blade can be backed up to clean near garage doors and/or scrape down to clean the surfaces where the snow is pre-packed. Kubota probably has the best off-the-shelf systems for front blowers. They have a variety of blower sizes (all made by RAD in Quebec where they know snow), support frames, and both manual and fully automatic connection kits for a wide range of tractor models. Most of the Kubota tractors are also available with mid-PTO’s so it’s an easy setup.

That’s the exact setup I have on my BX2380. I back up to garage doors drop the back blade down and it cleans almost all the snow away. I’ve seen guys using box blades instead of back blades. This year I’m running a UHMW scraping blade to reduce noise and scratching/ gouging the driveways.

I have a 1.5 mile long driveway in Northern Wisconsin. My inverted Meteor snow blower is invaluable. I tried a conventional and my neck was sore in 30 minutes. The inverted is the way to go if you have any length of driveway to do. I am using a Mahindra 2538 (38hp) with a 68" Meteor inverted. I LOVE my inverted snow blower.

Jim how does your inverted handle the snow banks. I have an .8 mile drive in Vilas county and am thinking of getting the same snowblower with a Kioti ck3510.

@@jamiep5660 Inverted blower on the 3 point and snow bucket on the frontloader is all we ever use here in Norway, no issues with banks or anything, lower the blower and drive, if it starts bogging down = reduce gear and raise RPM's, simple as that :)

@@ToreDL87 As a fellow Norwegian this discussion on inverted vs regular snowblowers in the US is puzzling, don't think I've ever seen what you guys call a "regular" snowblower on a tractor here, and I live in a place with a LOT of snow. As Tore says, rear mounted, forward facing blower plus a plow or snowpusher on the front is what pretty much every snow-removal contractor uses. Getting the same setup for my farm this winter as an upgrade from a 6x6 ATV with a frontblower.

@@ToreDL87 Yup, no problem. I'm a Norwegian living in the US, and heads are exploding when we use a pull type snowblower. Works for me in Montana since I'm used to pull type snowblower from home in North Norway.

Hi Nick it’s Rich from personalized Landscaping thanks for all your videos they are great ! Quick question I have a bobcat tool cat hi flow ,should I put a 72 inch snowblower on the front of it for a tight group of residential driveways ?

Hey Nick since you seem to have a lot more experience with these, I have an opportunity to purchase a PRONOVOST c8026 snowblower and I'm curious if my John Deere 3320 with 32 horsepower can run that

regarding the front snow blower..... how is it for traveling distances on the road. Is it heavy on the front end and bounces around?

I would say that for a commercial parking lot a conventional rear blower is better, but for residential, I would go with an inverted. Now I just have to buy one LOL

Would a larger tractor like a 6130M get stuck in deep snow with an inverted blower, or is that just a concern with the smaller tractors.

Back blowers would be great for like on a snowmobile that needs the snow to drive on first possibly your rear pto is rated for more power than front and yes the capacity to even if ridiculous but handling gargantuan hieghts of snow make conventional front mounted blowers the best back box blade for next to garage doors is great too

So I'm watching this video, and the operator in the big JD 6 series (at 8 min) is pulling an inverted unit, but looks like he's looking backwards just as much as if he actually had a rear mounted unit.

@@nickbohner9261 - So I'm not sure if that was you or just stock video footage in that particular part, But do you find that you can basically set it up for a run and just go? I'm looking at buying one for my Kubota 2650 and I guess my way of thinking is that if I have to always be turned around, I may as well just buy the lower priced conventional rear mount. Thoughts?

conventional blower whit a doors that goes down to pick up the snow that left back in and pull it to the road that works the best like this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CnM6a0_u-KA.html you can pull snow from anyware wer you cant blow it and blow it after and you can use it also going forward no need for a front end loarder make the tracktor shorther make it easy in tight pace

Why wouldn't you front mount a regular blower or PXPL and be done with all the nonsense? You could also utilize a U300 through U500 Unimog as it comes with a front 3 pt hitch and mechanical PTO so you can drive faster between different accounts and mount a sander in the bed. Even a cabover truck like a Mitsubishi Fuso 4x4 with a hydraulicly run front mount blower and aux. engine/hydraulic pump in the rear? I want to get close to peoples garages so it it less work for the customer and an inverted blower does not allow that.

I have a front and I love it. However the snowblower frame and the backhoe frame are not interchangeable. When tractor manufactures get their act together The subframe will come mounted to the tractor and be able to accept all attachments. It’s not just removing the The sub frame it’s removing and replacing big connections that hold a sub frame also the subframe is in the way of the loader so the subframe has to be removed in order to put the loader on. In plain English this is bull$hit!!!

How the hell is a 3046R too small to do residential driveways? You’re in a subdivision neighborhood! I have a 1025R and a 3046R and I live in a very rural area in Michigan where we get heavy snow loads and I find that even the 1025R does well. The 3046R does even better. I don’t get your logic Snow pusher is better. Unless you have no place to pile the snow up to.
