I was born well after Empire Strikes Back, so I never got to experience "that moment" when it was new and shocking. As a ten year old, I was totally gutted and shocked with this moment which lead to my obsession of Deus Ex. Thank you, Warren. It's my moment.
You're lucky, a lot of the marketing material for this game made it clear you were fighting a conspiracy, so it wasn't such a "plot twist" for most people methinks.
yeah it was a nice moment in the game.. like. whaaaaaat.. I love how a bit earlier in the game (I think it's in the place with the mole people) you can listen to two NSF guys talking about a guy named Paul and I was like "wow another Paul?" :D
Lol, I may be wrong but I think JC works for UNATCO for one super messed up night. JC comes to liberty island is sent to New York for a short Operation, Comes back immediately gets sent back to New York to raid LaGuardia goes back to base again and betrays UNATCO after failing to go to Hong Kong, All in one night I think. Kind of funny really. Poor JC I think he only gets to sleep on black helicopter rides across the ocean.
no thats wrong i just replayed deus ex. in paris when you read news paper its stated that "denton" made a terrorist attack at unatco one week ago so here you go JC escaped unatco prison one week ago then traveled to hong kong then paris
GorbadIronclaw it’s probably similar to how the health regeneration takes place. The Nanites could possibly be used to give him an unlimited amount of energy/bioelectrical energy
I was a child in my first playthrough and i wasnt that good in inglish so i didnt see pauls defection coming.after replaying as an (20th time) was clear that hints were thrown at us the entire NYC chapter
i like how every time you try to defend the un or us after telling you whats going on, you can feel the people get irritated when they give you basic facts
