Build date 11/71 USA TR6 fitted with '73-'76 J-Type OD (3rd rebuild over the decades) new clutch/ring gear installed after 25 mile would not shift into 1st/2nd gear.
Broke Cardinal Rule "New Clutch" do the tranny while you got it out. Took to local shop TR6 told me to call the next day pick it up & take to Phil for his expertise, did as told, drove 4 hrs hung out hour+ as he solved the issue in 5 min but we got to talking.
