These are just some of the many quotes in poker night at the inventory, I recommend this game to everyone who is a fan of poker, the heavy or games in general.
I think it was going to be part of a longer conversation. I remember the following lines sometimes randomly playing during some parts of the game. *Max:* How about I just sit on your head and shoot things? --and-- *Heavy:* (rubs his chin in thought) ...This is good idea. Someone in programming messed that up, I think.
I love how intellectual yet chaotic heavy's lines are. Like going from "sometimes I get nightmares, a man doesn't get to go home to his wife and kids." to "OH I LOVE HATS!"
(The description shows the year of poker night released in and I combined it of what Tycho said how old the game is from poker night’s year of release and I compared to the year 2020 and TF2 was released in 2007)
“you’re a girl, pledged to a sorority in college and learned to make that drink there” is such a shit-eating way to tell someone they have boring taste in alcohol, i love it
The sparrow story is really sad Heavy loves killing stuff yes, but everything he kills is also able to fight back: monster bears, the mercenaries on the opposite team, the many halloween ghouls, Grey's robot army But he doesnt harm anyone who won't fight back, he hates the death of innocent beings, and hes even willing to give an honorable death to an enemy should they choose it Heavy really is credit to team
We then learned that Heavy is a total badass in the comic, can successfully infiltrate bases discreetly, Street smart, and has a Sister, which Soldier is currently banging.
Yknow i have to totally agree with you, until you get to 11:23 and he tells the story of how he tortured an engineer... then it’s just like.... woah. It kinda just hits like a truck how little empathy he feels, and how sadistic he is... like, even medic who is very obviously a total sadist, shows empathy and compassion towards his team in the comics and towards his doves. And that takes a level of empathy, and empathy is universal. And here you just kinda see that, heavy has none. He has compassion, but no empathy, and that’s scary
"I sometimes dream I am killed. There is blood everywhere. But then I wake up and realize this is ridiculus. No one can kill heavy weapones guy." Deep tf2 lore right here
Poker Night is so... Strange with it's selection of characters. I had to look up Tycho and learned he's from a webcomic? There's absolutely no theme connecting the characters at the table and I love that.
Fun Fact: According to a conversation from Poker Night 2, there actually is a bit of theme with the four characters there's one from a video game (Heavy) one from a comic (Tycho and Max) one from a TV show (Strong Bad? I'm not too familiar with where he's from) and one from a movie (???) now that I look at it, this logic really only applies to Poker Night 2 so what do I know?
Conga Alien I don’t think max was from a comic, I think he’s from a game. Strong bad is from a web series called home star runner Edit: apparently another comment says the game is based off a comic
Ah yes a gay Rabbit from a point a click adventure, a ruthless mercenary with a heart of gold, and the guy from lost. I can already tell this is the best game ever
Lol Ahem ... "Then i put wrench in throath all the way to the handle" *true russian laught moment* There is blood every where xd And the engineer is crying *more laught* I think he cries for his mother *again laught* But...but...the wremch is stuck in his throath and it sounds like *immitates chocking sounds* *nore laught* Isnt i the funniest thing?"
Imtheaura Zoophiles are the ones who want to fuck animals. Otherkin are people who genuinely believe that they’re reincarnations of fictional characters and fictional/nonfictional animals. Otherkins can result in either being a very passionate furry or cosplayer, or being a particularly fucked up zoophile, with zoophiles already being particularly fucked up.
Heavy and Max work so well A small white American bunny with a pistol who is also verbose And a big bulky Russian man with a mini gun who does not speak English well Both being psychotic
I like the fact that Sam and Max referenced TF2 in "Sam and Max Season 3 Devils playhouse" and that TF2 referenced Sam and Max by having both Sam and Max's gun as well as Max's severed head. These 2 do work well together.
I love his “I like you tiny Rabbit.” During when Max mentions the ghosts. Way he says it is just so wholesome I’d totally believe they’d be sweet buddies.
So Tycho has a animal fetish, strong bad is just an angry mii charicter, Max is that one guy who gets reminded about the time he reminded himself, and heavy as usual has a psycho side
@@luigimcdingle1951 th3 missp3lling was unint3ntional. And it's not c3nsorship, it's my Hom3stuck fan showing. Also what th3 fuck do you m3an "big boy words" ? "i am talking about Visions of endless suffering *DEAD DOCTORS, E V E R Y W H E R E* *S P Y C A N N O T B E F O U N D"* This may be the best thing heavy has ever said
I like how the Poker Night series does one thing better than most crossovers, it has decent character interaction, making it more character focused than conflict because the character interactions are the focus of the non poker side of this game series.
Well, his dad died in a Gulag and he practically had to raise his family on his own. So, I think him having empathy to a family losing their patriarch would be understandable.
i mean they do have that immortality machine thing, we never do anything where he kills people that _dont_ come back with the exception of maybe the saxton vs mode its a sweet sentiment but if they respawn anyway its no biggie right
I like how Heavy is clearly on the red team but when Tycho was talking about his girl and her red hair he said “No no heavy she isn’t on the other team, don’t kill her” As if he were blue
+PrimeWeekle That's a bit excessive. Randomly generating four players from different franchises and having, like, three TF2 classes seems like a better idea to me. It's beyond me why the same people are playing poker over and over. Although, of course, acquiring the licenses would be a whole other story.
You gotta love how heavy is the some of the most psychopathic, to the point where even max is scared, while also being the least insane most of the time
THERE IS BLOOD EVERYWHERE! AND.. HE IS CRYING! I THINK HE CRIES OUT FOR MOTHER, BUT.. BUT.. THE WRENCH IS STUCK IN HIS THROAT! AND IT SOUNDS LIKE... [indecipherable]
i love how he is speechlessly disturbed like twice during this, one during Heavy’s story about the guy with the wrench in his throat and the other when Tycho talks about his whole… thing. I was already super into Sam and Max, but both poker night games have made me want to get into the franchises of the other characters too lol
I love how Matt Chapman was so adamant about Strong Bad not swearing that he actually said the word "bleep" in the recording booth. And Tycho, you watch yo mouth
they’re so respectful, nobody else talks or interrupts when 2 characters are talking or when 1 character switches between select ones during conversation
I love how Heavy's lines were written by Valve (I think), so a lot of his lore comes from this game. One of my favourite parts is how he's afraid of ghosts, much like in the Scream Fortress maps whenever the ghost appears.
To think in the same poker room, Ash, Brock, Heavy, Strong Bad, Tycho, Sam, Max, Glados, Claptrap and Steve were all there is Mindblowing to think it happened
15:00 I expected the Heavy to questioning why Tycho, who wears a blue shirt, is dating a girl with red hair and make some unnecessarily deep statement about forbidden love or something.
Heavy looks stupid acts stupid but is NOT stupid.(I wonder if he ever wrote a book and his views on russian literature.) By the way how does he use his russian PHD? Medic is quite crazy, knows biology but completely relays on magic(srsly his medigun is insane. Makes you think that medic may be able to make immortality machine without any australium. The guy poured blood to supplement his teams blood loss from buckets and they lived!.) Engi is the most grounded guy, has the brains to build and is quite subtle in his madness.(most of what he built comes from his family tho) Pyro is an economical genius.(Made a company sour in the market. Perhaps the only one that wouldn't need any assistance besides the filfty rich spy. He be sad tho no fire.) Demo is a chemical expert(only for bombs, it would be cool if we got how he adjusts his bombs and if he was able to make other kinds of bombs. Like C4s to AP Tank Rounds, other wise not so smart) Spy is a perfect vocal pretender.(He is able to do all the cast) He might be able to sing very very well( or at least mimick songs). Scout is......yeah, scout. Aside from his athletic achievement , he is normal(for a sociopath mercenary) Soldier is well we know how he is and that's all that matters (paranoia, insanity, lead water)
@@temkin9298 gotta admit, soldier is a very good at strategies and has high battle intelligence I also always wondered, how spy can copy any voice but still has accent
@@electropunk334, I'm impressed how Heavy managed to hunt down Max off screen if this were the case. While most certainly not the level Bugs is at, that Rabbit still has some Toon Physics on his side like hammerspace (That's what Tycho was referring to when he was referring to Max's "Hollywood Magic")
This is actually some of the beat video game dialogue writing I've seen in a while, the characters interact so naturally and have such well developed personalities and chemistry. It's just so GOOD.
I love how this is so fuckin random, a bunny with sharp teeth, a power ranger reject, heavy russian guy and some dude who is probably failing his college major is just sitting on a table playing poker
Heavy- "I am talking about visions of endless suffering. Dead doctors everywhere. Spy cannot be found." As a Medic main, I feel your torment buddy. I really feel it.
"I guess I could join your team of ruthless killers and lame hat-wearers and watch you get grenaded by 8-year-olds" Strong Bad predicted the Über update
Feel bad for all the TF2 kids who only found out about this amazing game now Best part is that this game used to give items for TF2 if you beat the main characters. Definitely one of the best items in game too, Lugermorph, Demopan Sunglasses, Iron Curtain... I'm so glad I got this game, now that they removed from the store and everything in it is extremely rare
There are multiple things in my head 1. I’m pretty sure they all go to the inventory on weekends to play some poker (even poker night 2 does this I’m sure) 2. I’m pretty sure these games take place many years after their movies, games, tv shows, etc. 3. I just love these conversations
Tycho: Nothing like their elegant ungulate sisters, the giraffes. Max: Huh? Tycho: You know what I'm talking about. Those slender necks? Max: *even more confused* Huh?? Tycho: So long and muscular.. you just want to wrap your arms around them.. and then, maybe your legs, just to see what it feels like Max: D: Tycho: I just wanna get up there and, just sway in the fucking wind! No..? Is that not..? Okay. What's even funnier is that Max keeps that terrified expression after the conversation
Devilsblight86 with some closet issues when you realize that 90% of giraffes mating is a male asserting dominance over another male. Nature is weird and Tycho is weirder.
I mean, it's probably someone you killed coming back as a spirit I would get scared if I couldn't harm what I fear. But this is also coming from the person afraid of a dude in a gas mask
It's not that surprising considering you encounter ghosts in TF2 and when you approach one, you get stuck into a scared and defenseless sort of animation.
Heavy likes to talk to wrestler dude, wrestler dude likes to talk to the tycho? Guy, tycho guy likes to talk to max, max likes to talk to heavy. The circle of conversation
I love what the characters call each other. Strong Bad's spectrum of nerd-based nicknames for Tycho, Heavy calling Strong Bad "Little Heavy" or "Strong and Bad". My favorite is Max calling Heavy "Mr. Weapons"
