Thanks Paul. I really enjoyed this one. You being more experienced than I am when it comes to detailing, you may or may not appreciate this tip. But I used to pre clean my soft top with Miltons Sterilisation Fluid (for sterilising babies milk bottles) at the recommended Milton's dilution, with a soft nail brush. The amount of green algae that it removed was amazing. Then I went on to shampoo and protect.
Impeccable timing Paul, recently bought myself a Z4 for the summer.Mechanical very good but needs a complete detail, including the soft top.Another excellent upload.👍
Hi Paul, another brilliant video, ideal products used in the video, what a difference a clean car makes and tyres dressed.the trim from GO made the plastics fresh and new.
Great video Paul, good to see a soft top clean & protect, an area that doesn't seem to feature too much on detailing channels. The only problem I have is the 08:00 video release, what the hell am I going to watch this evening with my beer. 🤷🏻♂️🍺
Oh yeah I see that on DC about your photo editing skills 😂 ridiculous that group. Great colour from Mazda for detailing isn’t it, Heather’s and Stephen’s (PDH) both always look really good too.
That was all my fault. 😭 I put up the screenshot of the before and after as I was really impressed and wanted to know if anyone else had used the Ceramic Detailer. I expected 5 or 6 replies from people saying "yeah I've used it" but it all went a bit mad. 😴
Great video Paul, really enjoyed seeing this one look clean and shiny again! Well said about the guards around the brake disks, they're an absolute pain haha
Finally got a chance to watch Paul nice products nice car nice video loving the Lazer bottles and the snow foam is thick as I like it like the tips on doing the soft top tram lines are a no no.thanks Paul
cracking job Paul, MX-5 are nice to drive, RF model is better for those who hate canvas roof's -- love Mazda's Red Soul paint, but my fav is Machine Grey. Mazda do need to improve their powertrain's a bit and embrace the turbo!!
Like the Waxed and Away brush....but.... one minor improvement... a bit of texture on the shaft would make it more grippy for cold fingers covered in soap and slippiness ....
Cracking job, Paul! The finishing shots looked great👌🏻 Yeah I see about the editing claims on DC group. Too many people out there that think they’re professionals now and always like to criticise things.
Great vid Paul. I must've missed this one. I do my friends MX-5 (black, not a stunning as that red) and have trouble getting the top clean (autoglym- not rate it much) so will try valet pro. I do apologise for missing this video, do I need to provide a note from my mum? 😂
Another great video Paul 👍......thinking of buying a small foamer for cleaning my wheels, what do I use in it pal? Can I just use a bit of shampoo? Apc?.......your sense of humour is quality mate 👌👏
Hi Richard the purple labels on the foamers are for shampoo wheel soap etc the red is for stronger chemicals checkout the links HD car care under the video
Cracking timing Paul. I have a 650i Cabrio to detail next month. The VP roof products look really worthwhile, having used Renovo previously. I'll buy some of the VP stuff. I can vouch for the pressure washer lines, from my first roof clean. Now, like you, it's a hose wash down! As for the foamer, where in your links, will i find the Laser Foamer? I have the IK one atm, and it's not a great product imo.
Renovo is good stuff. Smells awful but it’s good stuff. That said I wasn’t impressed with the protector and it needs several coats to get decent results from. The cleaner is decent but a cheaper normal APC would do the job. The colour reviver is superb though and really helped my drop top.
Great stuff Paul. The softtop wasn't too dirty to start off with but a great result nevertheless. Would the ValetPro be really different from an ordinary APC?
Love your videos but there is about 5mins out of 29 on the roof. And the title says roof clean.. More time spent on wheels tyres and trim.. Maybe change the title to MX5 wash including soft top. Not what I expected from the title. Cheers Peter
The video was shot showing sections not real time it’s difficult to title videos also people will get rather bored watching me scrub a roof for 10/15 mins it’s to give you an idea of what actually happened on the day wheels do generally take more time than anything on jobs like this but appreciate you pointing it out thanks for watching Peter 🙌🏻
Hi Paul, any ideas on how to keep cats off your car? I have an old Alfa spider with a black(ish) soft top which obviously gets nice and warm in the sun. So some local moggy chops thinks this is a nice place to catch some rays and have a snooze and then proceeds to waltz all over my car with its mucky paws. Does it take the shortest route to get to the roof? Does it buggery! It clearly thinks “nice car mate, but what this car could really do with is me doing a dance all over the bonnet then leaving loads of me hairs on the roof!” Short of wiring up the panels to the 12v battery I’m at a bit of a loss of what to do as this furry feline is a repeat offender 😬 Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
@@PaulDoldenDetails Not sure a 12 bore would do the Alfa’s bodywork any favours but citrus, that’s a good shout! I’ll give it a go and let you know how I get on. Thanks again for the great videos and your lovable humour. It’s vids like these that keep me sane in these weird times.
