Look for the 2017+ 124 Spider fan club on facebook and the 124 spider.org forum online. Both are great resources. And check for Fiat Club America chapters near you - being in a club takes enjoyment of your car to another level!
How the heck do you get your car to look so glossy? I just got a white Abarth 124 and it's covered in swirl marks from the previous owner. Any idea how I can remove them and make it shine as much as your cars?
You either need to do a paint correction or a repaint. Remember our paint is very thin to begin with, so you can't do paint corrections over and over. But, here is the process on the shine... Believe it or not, we only "wax" our car every 1-2 years. 1. Get a good soap. I recommend the Last Soap from the Last Coat if it is available (they are building a new warehouse and their product line can be limited til it gets done). Wash the car completely with the soap. 2. Clay bar the car to get rid of chemical/contaminants the soap didn't remove. 3. Wipe down the car with isopropyl alcohol 70%. Same stuff you find in a drug store. This will remove the last of the chemicals that might be trying to stick around. This step ensures your surface is as clean as possible before you put on the coating. 4. Apply a ceramic or ceramic/graphene mix. There are many on the market and I have not yet decided on a favorite. Black Ice by The Last Coat is very good. But so are many others. 5. We usually wait a few days to let the first layer set up well then apply a second coat. 6. After 3-4 more days, we put on AMP by the Last Coat to seal the shine. This step is not needed, but helps the ceramic last longer. After that, we only use water or a waterless wash (GO2 Waterless wash is the best we've found) to clean the car. All that said, I doubt you will ever get a white car to look as shiny as a black one. Not that it won't BE as shiny, but the color contrast will make the black car LOOK more shiny. Black cars show dirt easily, but when they are clean and shined up, you can't beat their mirror-like look.
I find that your videos have really good content, I have an abarth 124 spider so find the content you make great. I just cannot get past the names you give to your cars and actually address them by these names. That is my only gripe with these videos.
