All it shows that a 110v line could be converted into 220v with a few modifications, as long you check and comply with your local code. I do not guarantee anything that this the best solution for this conversion, but it could be done.
That economy small apartment mini-panel appears packed with breakers already, and lacking space to add a double pole 240 VAC breaker. Also, what up or downstream outlets will either get 240 VAC, or be left disconnected; and of those, what locations are code required spacing locations? This conversion may end up illegal on both safety and functionality criteria. It also avoids discussion of those issues.
@@thebamplayer No that is a 6-20 R. You are referring to a 5-20 R . The horizontal opening is by itself. On a 125V receptical the horizontal intercepts the vertical of the grounded conductor.
