I did it without removing the plastic part. just remove the old light (like shown) and bend up the wires on the on the new light and insert it and then place the wires in the side clips as shown on the video and your good. good video! I need to find brighter LEDs though.
@@thehowardsgarage2480 for sure, I just removed our center console, so it's easier to get to the back while driving, we have a toddler, added a rough country fridge to the rear seat ours has the captains chairs. Looking to add leds,, and some interior comforts. Is your diesel?
@@ween4314 I definitely know what you mean. We have five kids lol. And the one in the video is a gasser. But, we sold that one a while ago and bought a 2004 Eddie Bauer edition 4x4 with the 6.0 in it from Louisiana. It’s the red one in the other videos. We also, have a 2001 v10 4x4 Limited excursion that is from up here in the north that has some rust, and that’s our vehicle we use to take the kids fishing and drive in the snow or go on an off-road adventure with.
Thanks for watching Chris. I appreciate it brother, and I found the bulbs on eBay. Understandable. Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of lights in the front area of these vehicles, so in order for me to see well at night if I’m looking through my center console or on the floor for something, I need a brighter light and that’s why I went with LED. Also, I have tinted windows so it’s still pretty hard for people to see in at night, and they aren’t on at all times like when your driving so not a huge deal to me personally.
@@thehowardsgarage2480 Oh I get it and dont mind LED, I just want a softer color like the LEDs I have in the house. All the other colors are like night club lights. I want a natural light version so I can see like you say, but not have spots in my vision after I use them.
@@mistermyself1128 yeah, 100% agree with you about the spots in your vision after seeing them. Pain in the butt. If I could find ones your referring to, I would go that route as well. Plus, as you said. The softer LEDs like the ones in the house, put off a good clean light as well.
