Some people have asked about the miniatures I use for the boxdark Bretonnians. So the idea here is quite simple. I will just sit down and go through a few of them and explain what bits I used and why.
All of the (previously) Bretonnian Men-at-arms troopers are very simple conversions. Swap a head and plug an arm. Or just tilt the head. Together with a dark an rough paintjob that will take a unit surprisingly far towards the Grimdark vibe.
There are bits from all over the place but the absolute main source is the Bretonnian starter box for The Old World combined with a second hand purchased sprue of skeletons. Just the type that will probably be readily available as it is a part of the Tomb kings of Khemri starter box.
Other sources includes Empire flagelants, Flesh eater Ghouls and obviously also the Citadel box of skulls.
In my view it is the most fun part of the entire miniatures hobby, regardless if it is The Old World, Age of Sigmar or 40k.
