This is one of my favorite videos you've produced just because it's a different way of catching Sheepshead. I watched it when you first published it. I found some pass crabs the other day. I came hear to see how big the ones you were using were. I might try them as bait for some Sheepshead.
I've been watching your vids for the last few days and love them. Keep them coming! I want to start fishing again in tampa bay & watching you is a great start. Thank you very much!
Thanks for showing how to rig for different species of fish with line weights and hook types and sizes. Learning a lot for a new to me area, so I have a better chance of catching. Planning a trip to Skyway soon!
Looks like an awesome day. I was just telling the wife i would like for her and I to go out there very soon. Definitely going to try that recipe out. Thanks for the video josh.
Great video, Nice resolution and fun, specially important you explaining how you do your rig, thank you for all tips, hey give me the recipe to make my wife love fishing like me, Good luck and keep it up man
My brother hooked a damned Tarpon on that thing one time, it was too big to pull it out of the water. It was the catch of a lifetime. That must have been exciting. RIP Roger.
I thought I was watching food network at the end there! Lol. I like these types of videos now and then. Good to see a few techniques for a certain species and then see some option of what to do with it once you catch it. Keep it up!
I love your fishing videos and you should do a lot more catch clean and cook I love to see you do some grouper or Snapper or some mackerel cuz I go out to the Skyway almost every day when I get a day off but keep up the good work man maybe one day I'll see you out there .good luck on your next fishing trip brother
Great, a new technique to try when I make it up that way. Maybe a bobber video in the future explaining situations for the many bobber styles out there on the market. Just curious if any other bobbers would work for this technique. Thanks and that chefs hat. Lol
How do you get the crab to go down in the water Column? Mine just kept floating on top with the bobber. Do you use a weight or do the sheep’s take it off the top? Love your channel Joshua
Try adding about a half teaspoon of cornstarch to your sauce and it will thicken and stick to the fish better make sure to mix it in the beer before you add it to the other ingredients. I’m gonna try your recipe for sure. Great vid
Capt. Joshua, Great Video Dude. How long were you there? If you had to catch your bait, and then the fish, is this a "Catch, Catch, and Cook?" lol Neat to show get fresh bait that they are literally eating to get nice fish. BTW, RU-vid came through this time with the notification. Take care Buddy and good to see you get to fish also Stephanie! 🙂🎣
Capt...great video. I've used your tutorial videos for pompano, mackeral and your other videos for sheepshead, In your past sheepshead video you fished the bridge piling. I'm looking forward to fishing the Skyway myself with this setup. For this video looks like you cast out. What determines what length to set the bobber stop at? Thanks in advance!
How's it goin Joshua Im lucky enough to hit the skyway several times a week with that being said I was wondering if the rig you are using would work with fiddler crabs??
Nice tarpon fight! Curious how you were catching those crabs, lol. Are they floating or on the pilings? This would help our harvest for sure. Pls give technique or show us a video. Thx Joshua
Hi Josh.. Have to try that recipe.. Now if ChrissyPoo had gone that video, I'd have said he would make somebody a good wife..lol. j/k. I like Chris.. I like these types of videos, plus the live feed.. Got lucky because I didn't get a notification, but still mad ed it to your feed.. Thanks for the recipe and video Josh... Always your fan..
Rita Hurtado The key to shark is bleeding them right away and then not puncturing organs when you fillet them. After that, soak the meat in milk or buttermilk for hours with ice cubes. Dip those babies in fish and chips batter with salt and pepper, fry until golden. It's heavenly.
I have been fishing the piers for twenty years or more, back in the day when the piers were nice they had fillet stations. I have been cleaning fish on that bridge for years and thousands of carcasses thrown back. I would recommend keeping them whole until you are ready to exit the pier. BTW, I used to clean my grouper right in front of the FWC officers. ;)
But, watching your videos and want to try fishing the skyway, is it or is it not, illegal to do? Based on what I read, it is. The game warden doesn’t want to hear from me if stopped on the bridge “ some guy from RU-vid said”. Just like drinking and driving, you just haven’t been caught yet. I now regret buying your shirt. If it hadn’t been washed already, I would return it. At least you could admit your mistake instead of making an excuse for it.
