The entire kenyan plus ugandan nation was banking on you with those chapatis hehee😅😂😂and you didn't dissapoint coz wueeh chapati chronicles and vitu kwa ground can be different but kudos you made us proud lol😅🇰🇪🇰🇪
We are Indians and our cuisine is somewhat similar to some Kenyan dishes. Chapattis, biryani, sambusa, pakora, bajjias. I guess Indians settled in Africa introduced Indian cuisine to the continent.
You're right, all these cuisines that are Indian like were introduced to Kenya and Africa at large by Indians who settled in Africa,we even have a Kenyan tribe called Indians who originated from India and settled in Kenya in 1800s
You have fitted to this family so well. Atti's parents are humble and loving. They haves welcomed you very well. More blessings our girl 🙏🙏🙏❤. You have tried on the chapatis.👌
Am Kenyan and I have study the heart of Liz and I have seen that Liz has good heart the way she handles and treat inlaws. Wow! You are wife material . May God bless you with all your inlaws' family.
I cook approximately 100 chapatis every day for customers. There is something I have learnt that of sprinkling flour after applying oil.... otherwise I love your attitude, how you interact with your in -loves.... your challenging us girl....
Liz you are born to be part of the family your mother likes to cook and you also like cooking . perfect fit to the family I've never eaten chapati I'm South African but Itry it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Liz you are such an amazing daughter in law.remember what God says about a child who takes care of the parents.you are blessed my dear lots of love from home 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
I never had it before. By the way, when I mix flour to make dumplings here in Jamaica, I slowly add water to the flour while I am kneading the flour. This was a good cultural exchange.
Mother in-law ako za uhu😂😂😂 it means she love the chapati so much may God bless the entire family of attis .my favourite chapati is passing near my mouth 👄 uui anyway congrats liz
We have a similar food which we call roti. It could be made with ground split peas and mixed in with the dough or just plain like you did it.We don’t use sugar either. This roti is eaten with any curried meat or fish. Goat, beef, chicken, shrimp, lamby (conch) with either chicken peas or Irish potatoes.
Good job Liz sharing your cultural heritage with your in laws who are from a much different culture. I am from the Caribbean and we have roti and buss- up shot which is similar. It's eaten with curried meat , chicken, beef or shrimp and vegetables. Enjoy!!
This is my second comment. Respect your in-laws by calling their mum and dad. Second of all respect your husband. I’m sure there is a lot of people who would like to have him as a husband so don’t take him for granted. You’re one of the lucky ones that came out of Africa.
Wow Liz the chapatis turned out so soft, layered and I bet are delicious. 🤭 They liked them. 😊 Anya rolled it so well for her first time. 🤗 I'll prepare them this weekend. 😋
I have never eaten chapati but I would like to try it. I live very very far away from Kenya but I am loving the chapati and omena and ogali from a distance. 😋 ❤
I think Hungarians are lovely people. I used to have a Hungarian friend who was married to a British guy. She offered to make me Hungarian goulash. I met her in Bahrain.
Liz Hun we are blessed to have you representing us Africans well..I love you ❤first commenting being following for 2 years now What brand is your faux locks I love it and did you croche it on?
Liz your chapati looks wonderful...im definitely going to try and make some....we make paratha Trinidad it's not the same but almost....your in law parents really treats you nice....that's great they are both wonderful....blessings
We eat similar here in the U.S.A and call them tortillas (Spanish oriented)and Flatbread (American style and other staple food recipes from different origins)too. They're commonly eaten at many of our fast-food and major restaurants with a variety of meats, sauces or plain or a a side and sometimes vegetables are added to them rolled up or folded for different recipes. Very tasty yes for any occasion honestly. Making them homemade is very economical of course. Very good that you're able to share a nice traditional meal with your family there and can't wait to see more videos of you all cooking lots more!! I'm sure your in-laws can't wait to teach you lots more fun, tasty dinners!! 😊❤ Many blessings.
I make mine with butter and milk, I melt the butter into the milk, let it cool and while it’s slightly warm add to the flour to make a dough, and roll out. So I am a queen , well i already new that.😊
My mentor is from Uganda, the very first time she made me chapati it was instantly one of my favourite foods and this year I finally learnt how to make it and my recipe/method is exactly like yours mine are even softer than my mentors’ haha 😅🤩
Just a question. Do they put sugar in chapati? If yes, why? Because all i know is they only put sugar and some other ingredients like onions, green paper, carrots and oil.. So what's the use of sugar please?@liz_atti
@@shamis9766 it honestly depends with one’s liking, some people put sugar others dont, you are allowed to play around with the ingredients of preference. I put sugar to mine because it gives a nice color and makes them soft.
I haven't eaten it before, but I admire your teaching skills, going to give it a trial. You've given your family a new tasty bread, well done Lizzy and Mama too👏👏👏👏👏👏😍😍😍😍😍
I think you are the best...never had Chapati but I know if you made them they are the best....awww that Annya is the best I love her so much...thanks for sharing with us
