Cooking Corned Beef Silog for my Korean Mom

I am a Filipina working in Singapore and has not been able to go home since last year. Your videos make me crave for the Philippines. I can buy and cook from here but the atmosphere with friends and family around is nice to have while having a nice home-cooked meal. I hope I can return soon!

You must be tired from work and yet you still show us your dedication in making videos. Thank you. When your brain stopped working, it must mean it is already sleeping (just my opinion and from personal experience). Anyway, you guys make us feel good and hungry(haha) from just watching your videos. Corned beef is a hearty breakfast for us. Different ways of cooking are sometimes done. Just like your tuna pancake, corned pancake is one version. Still, Thank you for cooking it to your mom.

Cooking tip: I usually cook the corned beef first (with onion, garlic, fish sauce, & black pepper), and *then* I make garlic rice in the same pan! That way the rice picks up the oils from the corned beef as well (more flavor)! Other than that, you guys did great! Glad your mom likes it (:

I suggest cook the egg first, then using the same pan, cook the corned beef (you dont have to add another oil) and then cook the garlic rice on the same pan again so that some of the corned beef left on the pan will be mixed with the garlic rice as well!!

My 3 years old niece really loves dried seaweed. She eats it like a snack. Dried seaweed is really perfect in any dish.

I bet she will be happy to taste some more of our delicious filipino food. 😋 Garlic fried rice is the best thing ever. My favorite too. The last time I was home was 2014. I miss my family and friends, the country and of course the food. I can endure not having the food I've been grown up too. Not a big deal but it doesnt mean I dont miss them. Hopefully when this pandemic is over I can finally visit home too. 🏡

For corned beef..always include small cubed potatoes..use little cooking oil or canola oil fry or saute garlic then remove garlic from frying fan..then fry ir saute sliced onion and remove from frying fan..then fry small cubed potatoes ...then put all garlic, onion and corned beef inside the fan and mix to cook

One of my favorite purefoodcornbeef dish with rice garlic crush hmmm yummy smells can to good appetite 😋..with onion rings..and half cook fried 🍳 egg..I always bring lunch box when I'm goto school ..(I'm addicted purefoodcornbeef 😋😂)..

That looked amazing! Personally, I would cook the corned beef first so when I cook the rice on the same pan all of the flavors from the corned beef will be immersed with the garlic fried rice.

Love garlic rice fried rice lots of garlic with fried eggs mixed in it ..soo good 😋 i liked to fry the garlic until its brown that way the flavor and aroma comes out well then i add the rice ,salt n pepper ... then i add the cut up fried eggs and mixed it in the fried rice
