COOKING ON THE KAYAK! *Catch and Cook in the Kelp* 

One time, I was kayak fishing in a southern California Bay. I had fins on. After a few hours out there and a dozen or so fish caught, a pool of fish guts, blood, and salt water was starting to form in the kayak. One of my feet had been sort of soaking in it for a few minutes. Without thinking, I put my feet in the water as I fished just like you. Not even a couple minutes later, I feel a surge come from my bottom right and swings the kayak out of equilibrium, but not enough to knock it over. Next I see a huge shadow in the corner of my eye from below, and a vicious sound I still can vividly hear if I replay the scenario in my head. It was the sound of a huge male sea lion biting my fin (luckily missed my foot). It let out this strange grunt that ive never heard in any animal before. It immediately pulled down, I fall off the kayak but am holding on to it with my left hand, and the thing lets go. I get back into the kayak after a minute, and something surfaces 10 feet infront of me. The sea lion was fucking giant, and to this day i dont know if it was saying sorry or just checking out wtf he just bit.

Man I am absolutely loving the frequency of your uploads these days. I’m a big freshwater guy and I binged all of your old videos when I flew from Wisconsin back to my home state Idaho several months ago. I literally was so inspired that I added on a one night stay in San Francisco to my returning flight. My profile pic here is me surf fishing for the first time ever with a 12lb Okuma freshwater travel rod 😂. I could only fish in the AM as rioting led to curfews in the city that particular night. Didn’t catch anything and that’s ok. I just had to experience the same atmosphere that you do all the time. Keep it up bro

A good friend had a huge propane tank outside of his house. One day he went on vacation and he was at the airport but his flight got canceled. He had to wait an extra day. The evening that he was supposed to arrive home, the propane tank exploded early in the morning. He lost his house but probably would’ve lost his life if his flight was on time.

Love this guy, so all do respect and never want to see anyone hurt. And considering he is an adult and makes his own decisions...so with all that said. When he almost drowned the first time he went abolone diving has now been replaced as my favorite video by this video when he goes chest deep with auto lifevest on. OMG I laughed out loud when it inflated! hahahah and in his always gracious attitude forgives his stupidity and moves on. He reminds me of a Golden Lab, great smart hunting dog and 5 minutes later eats 5 pairs of socks.

Ha! Qwik Quells! They used to hand them out to us when I first joined the Australian Navy. Nice to hear they are still in business and still work. After a few trips out, I stopped using them as I didn't need them any longer.
