All good pieces of kit. Just depends on what you're loading out for. I really like the kessle. Perfect for making ramen with Spam for 2.;Try cracking an egg into your ramen in the last minute. Really takes it up a notch. Thanks for sharing my friend 🤠

Nice comparison and cleaning tip. The Fire Maple Antarcti 1.2 L camping pot may be worth a look. It's got a bail handle, pour spout, locking lid, and even a steamer insert. It is heavy though.

I have a bush pot that I got years ago at a thrift store. It was in a old Texport camping set. Remember that old brand? Anyway it had two large pots, a pan that was also a lid for the large pots and a quart size bush pot with a lid and bail. It’s made of a little heavier material and its sturdy. To this day it’s one of my favorites and still gets taken out. I also have the pathfinder and the Stanley which I have heavily modified. Thanks for the comparison Dan.

I do remember that set. I still have my set from the boy scouts, which is simular but pot is smaller.

Great comparison Dan. Like you said depends on what your carrying and how much room you have. I have Snow Peak and Toaks. Like them all. Thanks for sharing!!

great video Dan. Learned something new, how to clean black good easily off my cook gear. Sure beats scrubbing with a scouring pad...

I have spent a long time, thinking about what is the best type of bush pot to get so this really helped! Thanks!

Since doing this video, Self Reliance Outfitters came out with a 1 qt. Pot I like even better. I did a video on it as well.

@@ochocobushcraft1742 I was wondering if you had- I’ll go check it out!

I made this same switch in my emergency bags, you can't cook a whole opossum in the pathfinder cup 🤣 but of course it depends what its for, but I prefer cook pots over cups. Dan i make some nice bags for cook pot kits, there are videos on my channel.

I can't eat a whole opossum in one sitting anyway, LOL! Do you make a bag for this size pot in camo ?

Can you cook on open fire. With snowpeak kettle.

Yes. In a more recent video, I compared this to the new Pathfinder 32 ounce Bush pot. The Pathfinder had some advantages. Recommend you check it out. Self Reliance Outfitters.

@@ochocobushcraft1742 thanks man o man. There is a hole in the market. If someone made a 1.5 liter pot/kettle with pan as a lock on lid for kettle with bail and handle they would have the hottest selling item. The amount of pots without handles/bails mind boggling. The best one I've seen is the snow peak but I wish it was bigger and had a pan as lid.

@@ExitTheMatrixVR I agree. 1.5 qt. Would be perfect!

@@ochocobushcraft1742 I think I'm going to go with the toaks titanium 1300ml pot that that has a lid as a pan. It gives me a long handle to pull pot and pan/lid out of the fire. Only down size is there no bail for boiling tea but I can still boil with pan on as a lid. Going to possibly drill some holes and add a metal wire or handle/bail. Crazy how big of a need there is in this market for this. You should make one ! I will buy it, If you did that snow peak kettle number 1design with a wider cooking base and 1.5 quart design I would buy it in a heart beat! Seems like lots of people like 1 quart to 1.5 and some do 2 quarts for car camping. All of these companies don't put bails on their pots. I just don't get it. But thanks for the video. They are missing a huge need in the Bushcraft community!

@@ochocobushcraft1742 Having trouble finding the video where you do the comparison did you ever cook with the snow peak on direct fire? If so did it hold up. Thanks 👍
