Thanks Marj for guesting your mentor. Nkapanood ng simplehan lamang n recipe pero madame ka matututunan. Same kame ng vote ni Maam Sylvia. Ikaw yung pinakamagnda sa inyo tatlong magkakapatid
Oh, Tita Sylvia! The best teacher for me! She has a way of teaching difficult recipes easy! Her recipes are foolproof. Ive enrolled in her baking and cooking classes since I was a teen till I was in my early 20s.
Nostalgic! Gained confidence in the kitchen because of her! Happy to see her still well and strong …Yes her Macaroni…she made sure everything was sautéed well especially the bell pepper otherwise it would stay raw!😂 No one can really teach basic home cooking techniques better than Sylivia Reynoso Gala! ❤️
For me Sylvia Reynoso Gala is the best Culinary Teacher! I learned Sans Rival, etc. from her in the 70s, when she taught students at her home in Forbes Park! God bless you, Mrs Gala!
It was in 80’s when I attended her baking classes until now still using it the best cake no secrets and you can use her recipe anything you want with it , you can even have your own bake shop like red ribbon using her recipe lol
Years ago, I have taken a couple of courses with Ms. Sylvia Reynoso-Gala and I have learned so much. Thanks so much Ms. Sylvia and Ms. Marjorie for featuring her in your vlog. :)
I'm a fan of Sylvia Reynoso Gala. It's a must-try recipe. I'll definitely cook it for my family. Hope to see more of Ms. Sylvia Reynoso's Gala on your channel.
Ms Sylvia I think is teaching na since the 80's. My sister attended her classes in cooking then. All her recipes are yummy. Thanks Marj for guesting her on your vlog.

Sylvia Reynoso Gala is truly an institution and a woman with a golden heart. She was such a joy to work with when she partnered with Kraft to develop recipes for the brands many years ago. Nice to see her again with the same bubbly and down-to-earth personality.
Her methods of cooking, very kapampangan. Sobrang specific. I guess this is really the secret why Kapampangan cuisine is really good. They stick as-is from methods to the best ingredients.
The first cooking seminar i went to was at Ms Sylvia Reynoso Gala cooking studio in the mid '80s. I had taken a handfull of classes even though i live far from her school. Sylvia Reynoso Gala is AGELESS. I love her!
My late grandfather who was a Jesuit priest from Ateneo, Fr JJ Jesena told us that Miss Marjorie is the most beautiful among the Barretto sisters in real life.
I love sotanghon hands down. Now i know the secrets for a delish sotanghon. But when i make this i add julienned cabbage, carrots and kinchay for a Cinesey flavor and aroma. Then i add a few drops of sesame oil. If i have dried hinimayhimay na squid i also add it to the dish together with the chicken. Its very flavorful. This is dried nukos in cebuano. Very delicious.
I started my passion for cooking with Sylvia in 2005. What you said about here is very true. Like you, i have kept all the recipes i have learned from her and from her daughter Chef Morella and son Chef Ernest, in total of 42 courses. Tita sylvia remembers her students and you can see her passion to cook and teach. Her secrets are no secret anymore because she selflessly shares them to her students. There are no short cuts. I have learned the preoper way of cooking from Tita Sylvia. She is my first mentor… there is no other like her in her passion to cook and teach. I LOVE HER. SHE IS SOOOOOO SWEET AND LOVING to her students. God bless her
