As someone who’s worked in the food industry for 10 years, you are the only athlete I have ever seen actually know what he is doing and have a real passion for cooking. Very refreshing to see, keep up the content bro.
"Everyone back home, everyone listening, whether you hate me or love me, stand up for yourself. Don't ever back down. They tried to bully me ain't gonna fucking work."
No matter what happens next brother, you are the AUSSIE GOAT! You and rob are the greatest representatives we could ever dream of having. Love the cooking too btw 😉😂🙂
I've been fortunate enough to have family members who are 'top chefs' (Michelin star etc) and we all agree, one of the top 3 places for steak we've ever eaten, was at a certain local pub. A friend worked at the butcher that supplied the chef and they told us that he always bought the cheapest (or one of) meats, but he used to cook it so fantastic, it felt like a steak worth 5-10X as much.
5 minutes 30 in and he's only put salt on it. It use to take him 20 seconds to put salt on. Only the great chefs have this level of ability. Such development, sensitivity, discipline, creativity of the raw ingredients. Simply exquisite.
Big fan Volk! Hope you, the family and the little sous chef at 2:32 are all doing great :). Your fight with Brian Ortega was the first MMA fight I watched and ever since then I've always been a big fan of yours! Due to me being Spanish I'm also a fan of Ilia, but just wanted to say that in Spain (and all across the world really) everyone respects you, one of the greatest champions of all time!
How about comparing a cheap burger to an expensive one? You could create two small burger menues: one with high-end ingredients and another with more affordable alternatives.
Thanks, Champ! Your cooking vids always make me hungry, even if I’ve just had a meal. Champ in the ring, champ in the kitchen, champ in the homestead! Congrats on the beautiful family!
Fr, even one knockout should be a long time off. He only gave it like 4 months from one fight to another- not even factoring in training. A third knockout in a row could be really bad.
I used to work in an abattoir and we would get rumps and sirloin with very heavy marbling, just like Wagu, it would get thrown into the mince bin. It's a shame that they don't sell it on the shelf.
Usually the grass fed is tougher. Some even call it "more gamey." I eat mostly grass fed ground beef regularly and whenever I eat conventional beef I'm surprised how much more I like the flavor. I guess a healthy cow doesnt necessarily produce the best tasting meat 😅🤷♂
Cheaper cuts of meat just take a bit more love and technique to make them taste better. Marinades that have some type acid really help tenderize the meat and give it so much more flavor. Great video Volk! Probably one of the best Chefs in the ufc haha.
Yo volk I loved the recent fishing vid u did before where you cooked the meal with the elder up in NT. Definitely cool to see vids trying recipes from different regions and communities
A baked potato out of aluminum foil I've heard of but a grilled steak out of aluminum foil that's a new one I've got to try that. The number 1 rule when i cook a steak is i always make sure to marinade it overnight my go to marinade sauce is teriyaki i find it adds more flavor along with makes it more tender. Awesome channel i love your content volk 🤘🤘
I LOVE YOUR COOKS CHAMP! HOPE YOUR FEELING OK VOLKS, HARD ONE LAST TIME BUT MATE... SHIT YOUR JUST AWSOME, REGARDLESS OF LIFES TWISTS AND TURNS CUZZY 😢😊😊😊😊
Great video sir, steak seems to never disappoint when cooked right. Have you thought about showing us some more traditional Macedonian, Greek, or even Australian dishes? It would be a dope thing to learn about forsure
See if garlic basting with traditional butter, ghee, margarine, beef tallow, or chili oil is best. Cook steak, turn burner to low, throw in garlic, drop in butter/ghee/tallow/chili oil, tilt pan, baste the steak thoroughly, remove from pan, rest, cut, eat. I'm guessing butter/ghee will be best, but if one of the other options works well, then it'll be cool to know a non-dairy alternative.
hey volk im your fan from Taiwan, hope recover well, you always is our champ, love your videos cooking and with family. In the video I kept hearing stupid little bowl 😂
Love ya work bro ✌️my Son is training and big on his steak 🥩 he was buying scotch fillets from Cole’s then started buying them from the local butcher (cresthaven meats) and he said the difference is amazing.. a few extra dollars for the goodness 💯
