The best lesson I’ve seen, clear precise and with the tab to easily follow along. Has the feel of presence, like Howard is right there with you THANKS HOWARD!
I've had so much fun with this! I'm free! My fingers are running up and down across the neck and it all makes sense! Best pentatonic scale lesson ever! It should have always been this easy! Please keep teaching more tricks! Thanks!
I really like your teaching style and the fact that you put the tabs on the screen so it is easy to follow what you are doing. Easy to take screenshots to practice with. Thanks!
I'm a long time bassist (45 years) and I've recently decided to up my game on guitar. I've picked up a lot of tips and methods over the past few months and after a first watch, I'm going to watch this several more times and learn the whole thing. There's a lot of little licks and tricks in here that will improve my guitar playing tenfold. Thank you very much.
I wish someone showed me this a longggg time ago. Your teaching method was a comfortable fit for me. Lessons one and two were extremely helpful. It was my missing link for helping with other licks and triads I have already learned but couldn’t use them when improving on my own. Thank You Very Much Howard. 👍✌
Howard your video created one of those ahaa moments...been learning scales and this lesson showed how to apply it melodicy. I subscribed and look forward to your future content.
Wow. You explained that better than any teacher I've had. I've been looking for someone to explain how chord shapes can be used to incorporate scales in a way to produce leads, and you did just that. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Hi Howard, I just love everything you come up with. I was never one that plays scales very much but this is interesting, fun and melodic, everything that the scales lack. Thanks 😊
This is totally great instruction, very detailed, clear and concise, no long boring explanation, also great putting the tab up is very helpful, l certainly understand now about finding the root note, play 3 notes, then 2 notes on the next string etc and also putting in licks etc to add spice- this is absolutely what l needed and l can apply this to other things I’ve learned.
Thanks Howard, brilliant. I’ve been looking for a reason to work on my flat picking. Excellent linking of theory, musicality, explanation & attainability… with a lot of practice on my part. Going over to 24/7 to have a look.👍🇦🇺
Thankyou very much for some one like me who been playing guitar for years and still can’t play you taking time to help me learn I’m very grateful, you make my heart happy 😊
You're too generous with your excellent lessons, ideas and tips, Sir. Your channel is such a huge mine of very useful information! Greetings from a subscriber from Poland!
I'm a complete noob to the guitar I know chord shapes an stuff but I had not found a video that made it make sense as far as a chord with a scale. This video was awesome an so clear it just clicked right away for me.
I really appreciate this kind of content. It affirms what I have been doing and tells me why I got it right or what I had wrong. Big help and why I subscribed right away.
I don't know why more teachers don't teach the sliding major and minor pentatonic scales as Howard shows here they are much easier to work into cool fill licks, nice job Howard, love your lessons.
Thank you!, thank you!, thank you!! I am 67 years into this beautiful world and been playing for 5 years now. I am fluent with my minor & major pentatonics and comfortable with my open chords. This just opened up a new level for me! I am a fan Howard! 😊
Yessss! I use this scale on....everything lol. Good to get some different phrases from it, been in a bit of a rut. Thanks! Subscribed just because your manner and style, as well as the fact that I can use a lot of this right away since this is my fave scale to use....
This is very good. I taught guitar over thirty years and this is very similar to what I taught my students. One difference, I always wanted my students to memorize every note on their necks. I also taught standard notation as well as tab. I feel knowing standard notation really opens up music in a way that tab doesn't.
