What type of stone did you use that won't crack due to the heat in the kiln? For that matter, what temp did you fire the piece and for how long? Thanks!
Hello, Cindy uses a Cubic Zirconia - Hessonite Garnet stone. You can find this stone here: www.cooltools.us/CZ-Hessonite-Garnet-Cabochon-Round-Checker-p/czf-358-p.htm On this product page, you can also view our Gemstone Firing Guide, which will tell you each stone that can be fired and for how long, at what temperature. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to our customer service at 888.478.5060 or sales@cooltools.us
Hi Jennifer, you can either reconstitute the clay using a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle. We have videos on how to do this here: www.cooltools.us/searchresults.asp?Search=reconstitute+clay
